Firstly the staff are lovely! 😊 Nothing is too much for them. Big room, very big bed (very comfortable!), very nice bathroom all extremely clean! You choose you're breakfast and leave the menu out for them for the morning. My partner really enjoyed the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, I enjoyed the cheese ham and crossiants! Be aware that it is on the 3rd floor so is up 6 small flights of stairs. We found this difficult after our long day in pompeii. However it's location is so convenient and a 5 min walk to the main square. Lots of restaurants, shops, cafes close by. We would absolutely recommend! My 4th time in Sorrento and had a great time again!! Thank you for a great stay xx
Noticed that this place didn’t have a single 2020 review so wanted to share my experience from end of Aug. 2020 (4 night stay, couple). Summary: nice place, great location, good staff, but a lot of surprises which can leave a bitter taste. Perfect for a 2 night stay, beyond that it goes a bit downhill (cleaning). Also, avoid room 3, the other rooms are much better (better decor, newer AC, newer TV...). Location: excellent, walking distance from everything BUT please note as other reviews have flagged that the ‘hotel’ is in the third floor and there’s no lift (Photo of stairs attached, you’d go up 6 of these). Staff: friendly, they work hard to make sure you have a pleasant stay, even if when they are not actually around. They went out of their way and gave us a new room after a cleaning ‘misunderstanding’ (that’s when we moved from room 3!) Hotel: nice modern decor (unless you get room 3 which is dated) but be prepared this is really more of an Airbnb, here’s why: (1) No ones there most of the time. Staff are around 7:00-12:00 to make ‘breakfast’ and supervise cleaning, the rest of the time you’re on your own (even for check-in). (2) There are a many details / caveats which were not communicated in advance and can be a surprise when you stumble on them... - Breakfast buffet: cancelled due to COVID. You now get a tray with warmed croissants, a yogurt and a tea/coffee/chocolate (shame but I get it..) - Cleaning: only done once every 2 days, does NOT include a change of bed linen. We got back after a long, exhausting hot day in Positano and found the bed hadn’t been cleaned after 2 days... (turns out fresh linen is an EXTRA €20, no matter how long your stay). Also I have my reservations about the ‘cleaning’ thoroughness in general. - Towels: same as cleaning, only changed once every 2 days. If you want a fresh towel sooner EXTRA €20. If they forget to change your towel, you’re in trouble as there’s no one around. - Hot water: each room has a 30L boiler (photo). If you take a medium/long shower, prepare to be cold or have to wait for hot water to heat up again. Same issue if two people want to take consecutive showers. Not terrible but not ideal. - Everything is locked, so if you run out of shampoo don’t expect to get any until the next day (there’s a supermarket 5mins walk though) Advice to hotel: if you want to up your game and be a place for longer stays then cleaning is the place to start. Introduce daily cleaning (proper cleaning where my suitcase actually gets picked up and cleaned under, where the room is really tidied and made to feel fresh, and where things like the remote control are properly disinfected), fresh towels daily, fresh bed linens on request (but FREE) and be upfront with anything that isn’t included as standard. Also, would be cool to have the option of someone being there at check-in (e.g. customer picks a 1h slot) to ‘introduce’ the room, help with luggage and make this a more welcoming experience. If anyone feels that this review is too ‘demanding’ for a small ‘hotel’ then please have a look at where we stayed at in Rome (Hotel Residenza Veneti Settembre). It was small, it was actually cheaper but it managed to do all these things perfectly without the slightest hiccup. COVID has been a big change for all hotels so while normally for me this would be a 3 star experience I get that it isn’t easy so here’s 4 stars.…
We came over for our nieces wedding without a massive budget. This place is unexpectedly nice. The room is a moderate size with all you need and expect, including air con. Nadia prepares a lovely Italian breakfast, holding nothing back: croissants, jams, eggs, toast, meat and cheese, juices etc. A real find. Our daughter stayed a few minutes away and only had self serve cereal! Its clean, comfortable &close to the town centre, port and mini beaches. For any required info call or email them here, they told us about the bus 😊 Thank you for our stay so far. A tip on arrival at Naples, get a Currie bus/coach for 10€ as taxis cost 100-150 so our daughter discovered!
I was at fault for booking the incorrect dates for this hotel for a one night stay. When we had discovered this, we called the number listed and the lady we spoke with said we were out of luck since this place only has two rooms and they were booked for the night. I asked if it was possible for a refund but they refused. Not only do we need to now go find a place to stay, but are basically told they can't help us which left a bad taste with me. Keep in mind for what we did see of this place, there is no elevator and it is on the 4th floor, so if you have heavy luggage, make sure you are fit enough to carry it up as there is also no reception. The alleyway to get to the place is a bit sketchy too.
We are staying here for one week as we are travelling around the places of the amalfi coast. The hotel in sorrento has a very central location and you can walk everywhere. Only 10 minute walk to the beach or to the ferrys that take you to positano or capri. Also a very nice and friendly staff, totally recommend it!
My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights last week and I need to comment on how helpful and friendly the staff was. Before we arrived communications via email and text were excellent, which really helped us as we were much later arriving than anticipated. After we departed we realized that we left some items there which were found and are now en route back to the US. The location is very convenient. Its a short walk from the train station, and it is only about a 10 minute walk to the main plaza. And if you're hungry and don't want to walk 10 minutes, there is an excellent (and popular) restaurant about 100 yards away with Davids gelateria right next door! Our room was nice, clean, and had great air conditioning. A breakfast of eggs, croissants, yogurt, etc was included in the stay.…
Right by the station, this place is in an ideal location for those travelling by public transport (which we were). Took us a while to find the flat (check your emails for any communication on this). Rooms were nice and cool. The downside for us was the hot water - there just wasn’t any when we shower at ~7pm each night. It says don’t shower consecutively & wait in-between but this didn’t make a difference for us. Good value accommodation as long as you are not too fussed about having hot water
Wonderful hotel and host! Oasis of calm after a busy day. The room was spacious, comfortable and airy. With all the modern touches you’d expect for a city location. The breakfast and company around the table was the extra touch and made for a pleasant start to our morning.
We stayed 5 nights in this beautiful decorated guest house. Prior to our arrival we have great communication about how to find the property, airport transfer, transport link and how to self check in. The property is convenient located about 100 meters from the train/bus station, and centrally located in the main shopping, restaurants and cafe's area. Our room was spacious for two, very clean have a small fridge. We request a kettle and was provided with milk and mugs as well for making hot drinks. We were well look after for breakfast, very attentive and a pleasant start to each morning. We didn't mind the stairs (3rd floor) to the property but may be an issue for some people. We would stay here again.
Excellent A very competent establishment and an excellent experience for location, cleanliness, friendly service and value for money. We stayed here for seven nights and must thank previous guests for writing some particularly helpful reviews. Read the reviews carefully, do your own research and understand what you are getting. We found this to be a great choice for Sorrento and as a base for exploring the many other beautiful surrounding attractions. Our own room, the breakfast room and all general areas were clean and very well maintained. Other guests we talked with made no adverse comments. Only a few minutes walk to the main train station for the Sorrento area, the local Sita bus stop and the Curreri shuttle bus stop to and from Naples airport. We visited before the peak summer season and it was still important to be at the Sita and Curreri bus stops about thirty minutes early. Even then, we were never the first in the queue. Be at the bus stops early as there can be groups travelling together. Guests wishing to make the most of their last day in Sorrento are welcome to leave luggage at the bed and breakfast for collection later in the day, at no extra charge. Sleep quality was excellent, a quiet room with a very comfortable bed. Perfect hosts, enjoyed the breakfast room. Our room had a safe and had a highly efficient mini fridge. A great choice for Sorrento.…
