Found this hotel, boutique style, by accident and what a find, so happy! Visited again the same evening for drinks and canapés, completely spoilt by the staff, who are brilliant. It over looks the Mediterranean and beautiful town of Sorrento.
I usually avoid smaller boutique hotels (bad experiences in the past) but booked this one based on the great reviews and it did not disappoint. My husband and I both agreed this was the best hotel we've ever stayed in! The view from the room is insane!!!! Book a corner-room, it was the best part of our trip. Paolo is so helpful, he was the cherry on top to our wonderful stay. We felt very welcomed and comfortable at Maison La Minervetta. In the mornings, there is a cozy breakfast with amazing views. Later in the afternoon, sit on the patio and they can bring you a snack and drink on the same cozy patio. It felt like a luxury home away from home!
A magnificent property with amazing views only matched by the service provided by the excellent staff. The design is impeccable, with beautiful surprise around every turn. Recommended for anyone visiting Sorrento.
I'm not even sure where to begin. We LOVED our stay at Maison La Minervetta. We booked the corner room, which as soon as we walked in, we were just in awe. The view was one of the best I've ever had a hotel. The staff were the friendliest people, so kind to us and answered all of our questions as best as they could. I was in Sorrento celebrating my 40th birthday with one of my close friends, but not only did they bring us champagne to our room, on the morning of my birthday, they brought me a little cake and sung happy birthday to me at breakfast. It was the sweetest thing any hotel has ever done for me. I hate even using the word hotel, because the staff treated us like family. Breakfast each morning was phenomenal, the fresh bread and mozzarella, I'd like to add i'm still thinking about both of these things a week later while at home. The breakfast spread was vast with options for everyone. In relation to location, the hotel was just outside of Sorrento but a very easy 10-15 min walk. No hills, or stairs. The hotel decor was the cutest, it was like a cross between Anthropologie meets Nautical. So cute, with the tiniest of details, nothing was overlooked in this hotel. The room was fantastic - the only suggestion I would make is maybe having some blankets in the room. We spent a bit of time just hanging out in the chairs in the room looking at our view, and we had the windows open, the only thing that would have made it perfect were some blankets :) We of course were there during the coldest March they've ever had. I will for sure be back at some point during the actual season to take advantage of the pool and beach access. I can't say enough about this hotel and how great it was!…
Hotel is fabuloso! Sofia is AMAZING! Shout outs to the whole crew…Antonio and Paolo…all of the crew but Sofia was always so warm and welcoming in this gorgeous little hotel with books, art, cozy blankets…heavenly beds and don’t even get me started on the views of this cliff side hotel!
OMG this hotel is not to be missed. With only 12 rooms up on a hill it is absolutely spectacular. The service is impeccable and the people that work there provided the most amazing experience for us. Great restaurant recommendations, a delicious breakfast every morning over looking the Bay of Naples and beautiful views from every corner. They have left no detail out! The designer inspired hotel is a true work of art. You can walk into the lovely town of Sorrento enjoy a delicious lunch at Franco’s or pick up pastries at one of the amazing bakeries. And of course shop along the way! We had a corner room with views from all angles of the room - I HIGHLY recommend staying here and cannot wait to return!
This hotel is located in an elevated position above Sorrento looking out over to Napoli the view is magical all rooms have a sea view. We loved every minute of our stay, the staff are fabulous, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The lanes and square are easy to walk too from La Minervetta and they have a stairway down to the Port. The breakfast is served outside soaking in all the wonderful views. I hope to visit again as this hotel as its one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, it’s small and intimate that just adds to its charm. 100% recommended. Thanks for a wonderful stay for my birthday trip. Capri, Pompeii and Positano all easily visited by local public transport. Italy 🇮🇹 ❤️🤍💙
Flawless. Gorgeous design. Absolutely beautiful. Truly Comfortable. Not cheap but really worth it. Nb at this time of year there is no sun on the hotel terraces after approx 11.00a.m - there are blankets to wrap up In but it’s in the shade.
Usually, it takes us a bit of time to decide that we absolutely love the place. With La Minervetta, it was love at first sight. The minute you take the lift or the stairs one level down from the parking lot and stand in the hall, walk out on the terrace and soak in the view, you realize you entered a place that is very special. This is a stage, not merely a hotel, decorated to embrace the visitors, to fuel their curiosity and to pamper their senses. But thankfully, the staff members are no actors, but very warm and friendly people who make it a priority that everyone staying with them has the best time in Sorrento. We booked a long time ago and had to shift our stay a few times due to the pandemic. Lucky for us, every time we made a change, a higher room category became available, so finally we ended up in a corner room. A steep price, but absolutely worth it! The view alone is to die for. But what is truly unique is the decoration and how everything is a perfect fit, though it actually looks like the weirdest combination at first sight. The room was in tip-top shape, everything top notch. (I mean, a Dyson hair dryer in a hotel room? Nice.) Starting the morning on the hotel terrace makes your day. Breakfast was a treat and the staff handled the COVID restrictions quite well. There was a huge variety and, seemingly, whatever was not there, was cooked on the spot. Sundowners before dinner - you need to go out, the hotel itself only provides snacks - were lovely, too. Don't mind the sticker shock - hotel guests pay half price on everything. The staff was very helpful in arranging trips for us to Ischia - not that easy at the end of the season -, providing restaurant recommendations and organizing the airport transfer. Had we not already been there on the itinerary of our trip, Pompei, Capri, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello are all easy excursions from Sorrento. We'll be adding La Minervetta to our Top Ten list of favorite hotels around the world. If you still have an empty spot on your bucket list, add to stay here for a few days.…
La Minervetta was the best hotel we stayed at on our honeymoon! The hotel is perfectly located to have spectacular views of the bay yet it also is within walking distance to the Sorrento town center, and has a private staircase down to marina grande. The hotel is fairly small but is so clean and so charming. Add in the fantastic staff and it is like being welcomed guests in someone’s home rather than a hotel. We will definitely stay her again in the future.
