We had booked this hotel months ago to stay from the 24th to 31st October. On the 20th October we were told they had decided to close early for the end of the season so we had to find alternative accommodation!! Very stressful!! Unbelievable that a hotel can do this and not honour their bookings.

We stayed here for one night in September and what a joy it was. I booked through hotels.com and got way more than I expected. The room was immaculate. The view from the balcony spectacular. The staff superior. For a quick jaunt in Sorrento this place is fantastic. The pool area is nice. The water in the pool very, very cold. It's open from 10am - 6pm. You can't bring your own refreshments but there is a snack bar / bar there and it's full service. The hotel is a la carte. You pay for towels that you return upon checkout. 3 Euros. The rooftop bar is fantastic with superior views. Oh my goodness it was amazing. Keep in mind that you don't pay as you go for drinks or the pool towels. You handle that at checkout. The front desk staff helped with arrangements for a trip to Amalfi coast. Even though we had checked out they held our bags for the day. I can't say enough good things about these wonderful people. I will say this however, there are reviews of the restaurant across the street. The lines are long and frankly, not quite worth the wait. They did however, come out to the line with a glass of wine and some cheese. There's also a little store around the corner that I quickly ran to and brought back some beers.

We stayed here for a family holiday. The hotel is what I would call average at best. The staff were all really nice which helped and most spoke good enough English that we had no issues. The staff and their politeness was the hotel saving grace for the review. The hotel was clean and central in town with only 5 minute walk to the centre of town and close to the train station, bars and restaurants. From our room we had a great view of Mount Vesuvius which for me personally was breathtaking along with sea views. There is also great views of this from the rooftop bar where I went each night. The downsides.... There was no kettle or tea making facilities in the room and was charged for a cup of tea. This to me should just be included.even basic B&B's have this. The shower pressure was shocking and for my wife after only a few mins in there the water went cold and never came back on warm. There was no iron or ironing board and had to get these from reception. If this was just a basic B&B, then fair enough, but as a hotel this should be in the room. We went to go in the pool and was then made to hire towels rather than use the ones we brought from our room. What difference this makes I have no idea, but it caught us off guard and we shouldn't have to pay extra for a different towel when we had perfectly good ones from the room. The windows are dangerously thin. Lucky our daughter is 8 and understood to be careful, but a younger child could easily smash through these with justva touch. The breakfast consisted of either eggs with beans, or eggs with sausage. Eggs were way too runny. Pretty much slop. They had the usual croissants etc too, but the cooked stuff I had wasn't really any good as far as I was concerned. Such a shame as a lot of the issues listed above would be an easy fix for the hotel to remedy and gain an extra star in the review.

Very disappointed with this hotel especially the food and staff attitude in general with the exception of one lady in reception. We were half board with jet 2 and had to eat out most nights as the food was awful wouidnt give it to a dog one choice for dinner was rabbit no thanks breakfast not much better cold scrambled egg every morning and toxic orange juice no choice at all unless you want to eat cake for breakfast. our TV hzd 2 English channels which went off in the storm.one night gave up asking after 3 days of being told the maintenance man was coming to fix it .the whole place has no atmosphere and dinner is in a dungeon downstairs which is like a morgue very few eating each night no surprise there . Only one lift for the whole building which is a joke the cleaning ladies using it as well which makes it impossible to use it during the day it does have a rooftop terrace but no bar during the day there is phone to ring the barman which I did one afternoon to be told if I wanted a drink I would have to go down to the pool ! All the staff look miserable prob cause they seem to wk 12 hr days sane faces every day .the location is handy and place clean but apart from.thst no gd points stay elsewhere

This hotel is in a great location, a ten minute walk to the centre of Sorrento. Our room was spacious and cleaned thoroughly every day. The staff on reception and at breakfast were all very professional, friendly and welcoming. We would definitely book this hotel again.

We were a little disappointed with our room and felt it could have been made more comfortable. The mattress and pillows were very hard and uncomfortable, however it was spotlessly clean, the maid came every day, the towels were changed daily and it is a good base for seeing Sorrento. The pool area is small but we made good use of the roof terrace which has plenty of comfortable seating, umbrellas and fantastic views. Breakfast is a bit basic but sufficient and the evening meals, for a small hotel, were perfectly acceptable. The staff are really nice, especially the waiters in the restaurant and the reception staff are very helpful. Be sure to take your own hairdryer as the one in the room is naff. Also be sure to try the restaurant across the road, you have to queue for a good while but the food is amazing. We enjoyed the scenery and sights around Sorrento but sadly we didn't like the traffic, the fumes, the crowds of tourists or the way we were ripped off by some establishments - we will not be visiting again.

Our first holiday after covid, we had to go back to Sorrento and particularly this hotel and to visit friends. The hotel has a new young chef, who has made some great changes to the menu, give it a go! Particularly we would like to thank Regina, Michaels, Salvatore, Antonio and Anntonietta Thanks for making my nephew so welcome and we can't wait to be back There aren't enough circles to award this hotel and staff more but for us it's easily 10 out of 10 Thanks Ian

A heart felt welcome back to Sorrento and the Zi Teresa Hotel by staff old and new. Nothing too much for staff to give a helping hand. Our room was cleaned and bed made by the lovely maids who greeted us each morning. Breakfast was in the dinning room and plenty of things to make choices from, 2 hot choices every day, fruit, cakes, meat, cheese coisants and cereals. fruit juices and coffee and selection of tea. The evening meal menu is provided at breakfast time with a choice of 4 different starters and 4 different main courses followed by a choice of 2 desserts you pick which you prefer and also either a 7pm or 8pm sitting, the restuarant staff are more than happy to help with food requirements. We all enjoyed the meals provided. Each morning after breakfast we made use of the roof solarium for an hour before going out, nice to sit as the sun is coming out enjoying the view of Naples Bay and versuvius, in the evening the bar on the roof was opened and it was a nice place to sit and relax with an aperol spritz, we watched a fantastic firework display as it was Ferragosto. The swimming pool was also well used and drinks etc available. The hotel is set off the main street and is not too far from the railway station which we used to get to places, there is a supermarket along the main street which seems to have a no bag entry system a security person showing where to put bags in lockers??, bars, resturants and shops are also along the main street. Ferries run from the port to Naples Capri Positano Amelfi etc, a bus will take you to Positano etc but they do pack people on them and it is not comfortable. We will be returning to Hotel Zi Teresa Sorrento, it fulfils our needs and we are well looked after by all of the staff.

The hotel is just average. Some staff are very friendly, others less so. Our room was basic and tired - the paint was chipped and walls marked - needed a fresh paint! No balcony although it states online all double rooms have one. I wish we’d noticed this sooner on the description as we would have brought it up on arrival. There were thunder storms on the evenings and the window leaked requiring three towels to mop it up. The location was good and small but nice pool area (very deep). The reception and bar was inviting and reasonable for drinks. Breakfast offering okay, but quite basic, especially as a vegetarian. . For the cost, I’m not sure I would stay again.
