We booked Palazzo Starace as it was highly recommended from a friend that had stayed a couple of months previous. The room was spotless and had everything we needed for a four day break. Palazzo Starace is located in a excellent part of Sorrento right in the main square.

We stayed in the Blue Room for the second time and will certainly go back again! The hostesses are helpful, friendly and kind. Location-wise you are in the middle of where you need to be, with a balcony view of the lovely buzz at night! In the morning you greet the Vesuvius from the balcony too! Room was clean, and...

Rick Steves did not fail us during our 17 day Italy vacation...and especially regarding the Palazzo Starace. We did not arrive until 10:30 at night (walked from the train station) and the lady that greeted us was so kind and helpful. The breakfast at the restaurant on the piazza was a wonderful experience each morning. Sorrento turned out to be...

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Palazzo Starace at the beginning of our Honeymoon. The kind hostesses did everything possible to make our stay perfect, and their patience was excellent with my limited abilities of speaking Italian. They also understood some English, which was helpful. We did not mind the stairs and forgot to use the...

This is a great b&b with a very central location. Rooms are clean & the fridge is a bonus. Breakfast is served in a bar in Piazza Tasso.

Palazzo Starace was recommended by Rick Steves so we expected more. Our room was #7 with windows facing via Pieta. It was very noisy at night (3am and on). Every night was like this and we were there 5 nights. This being our 3rd trip to Italy, we expected the cleanliness at the high standard we've found at similar Italian...

We found this hotel to be really reasonably priced and very clean. We cannot fault the cleanliness of the room. The hotel is in a great location but can be rather noisy on weekend nights and in the morning but that comes with the location. I would also warn travellers of the stairs if they are not very mobile (no...

We stayed here for 5 nights. We had a lovely room overlooking the main street. Only minutes from the station which was handy for trips to Pompeii and Vesuvius. Great restaurants nearby. Fantastic gelato place just across the street. Our room was spacious with enough room for my husband and I and our two children (13 and 9 years old)....

My husband and I stayed here for a 3 nights. A short walk from the train station which made it a convenient place to stay while we explored the Amalfi Coast (the bus also departs right in front of the train station) a day at Pompeii and a climb up mount Vesuvius (buses leave at the train station right outside...
