Recently returned from our stay in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. We found The Cesare Augusto to be the perfect spot for accessing lovely Sorrento. It is a short walk to the main part of the city, and provides a relaxing setting to access all...More
Right near old town sorrento and train station so A+ location. Old School 1960s decor gives it a unique charm. Roof top pool and bar overlooking the city. Well priced too. Inclusive breakfast makes it a good deal!
Just returned from a very enjoyable week at the Cesare Augusto. The hotel is very well located only a few minutes stroll to Piazza Tasso, the centre of Sorrento, in one direction and the bus/train station in the other. We had a room on the...More
Stayed here as part of a Riviera Travel tour package. The Cesare Augusto is centrally located and though a bit dated decoration wise, like going back to the 60s/70s. But, was comfortable, clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a great...More
The Augusto is a good tourist hotel with a nice airy reception, pleasant helpful staff and clean rooms. Breakfasts are plentiful and the waiters attentive. The evening meals are what you’d expect from a budget hotel. The starters are generally good -risotto was my favourite...More

There is nothing wrong with the food but it is average. Sorrento is bursting with restaurants of all different budgets . We had paid for breakfast and dinner but only because that was the travel company's deal. We only ate dinner twice in restaurant and ate out the other 5 nights. We had pizzas and a bottle of prosecco one night for 20 euros and another night a full on 3 course meal for 50 euros. Everywhere we ate was great. Hotel food is always a little repetitive. It really depends if you are a "foodie" or not.
