We went to Sorrento on 27th August 2016 for 6 nights, the direct bus from Naples Airport dropped us off at the train station in Sorrento which was only 5 minutes walk from hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly at reception, they gave us lots of information and maps. The hotel looked very clean and had lovely outdoor seating... More

The Cesar Augusto was a perfect base for our holiday in Sorento. Situated close to Piazza Tasso it was perfect for strolling into the centre. The rooms were spotlessly clean with fresh towels daily. Our balcony overlooked the bay if Naples and Versuvius. We were on half board basis, the food was fabulous and the meals were not duplicated over... More

A little frayed round the edges but very clean ,the staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough for you . The hotel is in a good central location close to all the action .we found it a little noisy and also they do not change Sterling in this hotel since the vote to leave the EU which I found... More

Stayed at this hotel for ten nights at the end of August. My review of the hotel is very much similar to others. Positives: spacious, clean rooms with free safe, good air conditioning and fridge in the room. The service provided by staff was superb: all staff were friendly and polite. Despite requesting a high floor in advance, on arrival I... More

Positive aspects were location and staff.Room large on top floor but road noise high when on balcony even overlooking garden.Quiet when balcony doors shut.Breakfast had plenty of choice of fruit and pastries/cereals but always scrambled egg with either bacon or mini sausage.Dinners most disappointing even with 4 choices for each of 3 courses they resembled canteen/school dinner style.Expected more imaginative... The location, cleanliness, charm of this hotel can not be beat, the only issue was the food. The breakfasts are perfectly adequate, but the evening meals were terrible. Small portions (thank goodness) of bland, mismatched food, we ended up eating out. If food means anything to you, be prepared to be let down in that area, however, everything else about... More

We have just returned from here and absolutely loved it. The hotel decor is slightly dated in a charming Italian way in reception but the floors in the rooms and in the roof bar are amazing as it the roof top pool terrace. The food was amazing piping hot Italian home cooking and the desserts were incredible. We were a... More

Having read some of the reviews before we left, was slightly concerned but totally unfounded. Lovely hotel - yes it is a bit dated but this just adds to the charm. We had a lovely big corner room and yes the main road was noisy but only really noticeable when the doors were open to the balcony. Sorrento is a... More

It was our first visit and we loved this hotel, we'll definitely go back. I stayed here (B&B) for 10 days in Aug 16 with my partner and 13yo son and we had a very comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout the entire stay and spoke very good English. Ugo and Gerrano working on the pool... More

My husband and I wanted a central hotel and we certainly got it with this one it was a minute from the main square and very central for every thing including the train station. The staff were amazing and so helpful. Cristina in reception helped me surprise my husband on our anniversary she booked the most amazing restaurant and organised... More
