We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Astoria as part of a walking tour. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, even providing a courtesy transfer to the port on our final day. The hotel is really central so brilliant for exploring Sorrento. Breakfast in the courtyard was a lovely way to start the day and all in all it was superb value for money. The room was a bit small but absolutely to be expected for something so central and again for the price it was more than worth it (just mentioning it so people are aware in advance but it definitely wouldn’t put me off staying here again). I will definitely be recommending this hotel to any of my friends heading to sorrento.

From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure, we felt looked after, this hotel could not have done more to help us, you were caring and considerate. The Astoria was cleaner than clean and the staff, from check in to the cleaners were lovely. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate, the coffee was tasty. Sanitiser on entry is standard as is every COVID protection, felt safe here, in fact a world away from the world’s problems. The hotel is located centrally, the square, the shops and the station are all within 5 to 15 minutes stroll. Having arrived on the 15th October from the UK and having found out on arrival in Naples that Italy was no longer part of the travel corridor, our aim was to leave as soon as possible, so we did not have to quarantine on our return. As luck would have it the hotels WiFi was fast and allowed us to book new flights home, with no internet lag. The hotel totally understood that we could only stay one night instead of the three nights anticipated. If we could not leave Italy, our room was held and would be waiting for us, but however we managed to board our flight. Spoke to the hotel from departure gate to officially check out – thanks for that. Really wished we could have stayed, everyone was lovely - will return to complete my break in less COVID times. Cannot wait to buy a drink in your first floor garden bar that looked enchanting and fabulous. Rachele thank you for the care and consideration you showed us, room 134 was fab – hopefully see you in 2021

This is a traditional hotel with beautiful entrance and court yard, this is a hotel best suited to couples. Our room was on the first floor and the balcony with table and chairs over looked the street, at night you can hear music and restaurants but not at an uncomfortable level. In the mornings you can hear the bells ringing nearby. The service was excellent and they did everything to help or make arrangements for us. There is an abundance of storage in the room and the air conditioning is great, the room also has a mini fridge which came in handy. The hotel is just round the corner from the main square and the main shopping streets as well as a steep walk down to the harbour. Breakfast has most options, they don't provide a cooked breakfast but do have boiled eggs. Only negatives are that the walls are paper thin, the kettle needed replacing due to never stopped boiling and pouring everywhere and the coffee at breakfast wasn't the best. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the service was great.

The rooms are not enormous, but there's definitely room - just - to swing a cat if you had one. Comfortable, air conditioned, tasty breakfast, a warm welcome from Rachele (who speaks every language!), central, friendly, good value, clean, stylish, well-equipped. We recommend without hesitation and will definitely come back.

From the moment you get to the town you are enthralled. Hotel Astoria was cosy and beautiful. We got to our room and opened our window only to hear the lovely Italian music playing while diners sat at outdoor restaurants sipping wine and eating the most delicious food. I was in a trance, I could have stood there all day. The food at the hotel was wonderful and it was sparkling clean. If you step out of the front door very early in the morning there is no one on the street, so a great photo op for sure. I will definitely be going back.
