We stayed at the Astoria Hotel in June 2014 through a package vacation with Transat Holidays and were very satisfied then. We returned to Sorrento in June 2016 for another week stay and received the same friendly welcome and accommodation was just as good as 2 years ago. We were located on the 4th floor with a small balcony overlooking... More

Me & my mum have just stayed here for a week, overall the staff are friendly & welcoming & the breakfast was perfect, with plenty of choice, fresh fruit & lovely coffee! The rooms are a reasonable size & very clean. The only downfall was that we didn't sleep well at all as the walls are so thin, you can... More

Having stayed in Sorrento and the villages on the Amalfi coast many times in the last 30 plus years, the Astoria was a change from our usual bed/breakfast and evening meal hotel choice in Sorrento. My sister and I thought we would spend our birthday week sampling Sorrento's many restaurants and based at the Astoria hotel we were not disappointed... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The hotel is well situated for exploring Sorrento old town. The rooms are small but well-appointed with large comfortable beds and good wifi connection. We asked for a room overlooking the garden area so it was very quiet - the garden is lovely for some relaxation in between sight-seeing. Breakfast was... More

This was our second holiday in Sorrento. Previously we had stayed in a lovely hotel on the outskirts ( in St Agata ), but chose this hotel because of it's location. There are so many places to visit in and around Sorrento, that we wanted easy access to buses, trains and boats. Also, the hotel is right in the middle... More

2 of us were in Sorrento for the last two weeks with Topflight. We stayed at the lovely Astoria Hotel in the Historic area of Sorrento. It is a lovey small hotel that met all our needs as tourists to the area. Well maintained very clean hotel. Housekeeping very good with daily towel changes and staff checking in each evening... Staff are friendly and cleaners do a top job. Breakfast isn't 4 star but is ok, different types of food fruit, bacon, sausages, eggs, toast, yogurts and more. If you're a light sleeper then this hotel might be the wrong choice; cleaners start very early moving beds, chairs and the walls are like paper so you can hear the unconscious people that find it excitable... I read all the reviews and decided that location was key for this visit over luxury. Actually we had a lovely large room on the ground floor with a small terrace opening out onto the ground floor inner courtyard garden, very nice but not very private, so we kept the shutters shut most of the time. Walls are thin and... More

My mother and I stayed here on a trip to Sorrento using the location as a base to visit Herculaneum, Pompeii and the Villa of Poppaea at Oplontis. We stayed for five nights and had a double room on the first floor. The room was at the end of the corridor and overlooked a garden of lemon trees which was... More
