Stayed here twice, once on the way to Amalfi, and then on our way back to catch a train to Venice. We found the hotel clean and tastefully appointed. You can,t beat the location whether your coming from the train station or the ferry pier. The train station is less than a three minute walk to the hotel, and the... More

This hotel should be rated #1 in Salerno. Directly across the street from the train station, within walking distance. One street over is a street with lots to of shops and restaurants. One street the other way is next to the boardwalk and has left tsk of restaurants (would recommend Pinocchio's in particular). Rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was... More

This hotel is located right in the centre of Salerno, which works both for and against it. It's great that it is opposite the train station and in the heart of the town, but at night there is a lot of street noise and the trains are constantly making noise. There was also a lot of noise from inside the... More

Just outside the station, only a couple of minutes from the seafront and the old town is within easy walking distance. The staff are very nice, the rooms spacious and comfortable and there are restaurants and cafes nearby if you don't want to eat in the hotel. It ticked all the boxes.

Like several other reviewers, we stayed in Salerno before catching the high-speed morning train to Rome. It should be noted that while Salerno is a commercial port city, the waterfront has been attractively re-developed and landscaped into a linear park, and the street which runs 2 blocks inland and parallel, on which The Plaza in located, has been made into... We spent a night in Salerno en route to Rome and stayed at the Hotel Plaza. I was pleasantly surprised on a few fronts - clean, comfy bed, good WiFi, great location, and really good coffee with the morning buffet! Plaza Hotel is great for short stays - pleasant stay and well priced.

This hotel is conveniently located opposite the main station and a short walk to the ferry terminal. For a three star hotel, service and accommodation are excellent. The staff are friendly and speak good English but will humour you if you speak to them in Italian. Our room was large and well appointed although a little more storage space would... More

The Plaza is located across from the train station, near a great shopping street with many food options and a few blocks from the harbor. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The free breakfast was enjoyable and adequate; includedmany breakfast options. The elevator is very small and holds 4 people so if confined spaces are an issue, ask for... More

Our room was spotless and although not fancy, met our every need. Towels were huge and thick and there was plenty of hot water. Nice flat screen TV and hard-wood floors which I love. Breakfast was very good and staff went out of its way to make us comfortable, especially the hotel owner who was there every morning to greet... More
