When we arrived at Barone, we couldn't believe that we were staying in such an amazing building - it is a real palace. The rooms are large and immaculately clean; simply and stylishly furnished, with lots of little touches that make you feel at home. There is a large kitchen with a fridge and a water cooler. Vincenzo, the host,...

Vincent, the owner, was very friendly and helpful during our stay - helping with directions, maps, taxis, phone calls etc - you can tell he certainly enjoys people and making sure they have an enjoyable experience in Salerno. Our room was very large compared to others (and immaculately clean!) - with a gorgeous view of the marinas and the beautiful...

Vincenzo is the most helpful and gracious host. Always avaliable for any questions. The rooms are large and very clean. Salerno is a great city. The hotel is close to one of the two marinas, so taking the ferry was simple. He is about a 10 min walk from the city center. The building itself has old style European charm...

Barone is a great place to stay and visit Salerno. The building is most unusual and beautiful. The place is super clean and we'll looked after. The bed was comfy, and the room nicely decorated. Vicenzo provided us with a map of the town and some restaurants recommdations. All round very good b and b. My only reservation would be...

I planned a last minute trip to Salerno for my last few days in Italy and I am so lucky I came across Barone! Enzo was so helpful for everything that I needed! It is in a great, safe location, right across from the port with easy access to restaurants, shopping and site seeing. It is only a 12 euro...

Four of us rented two double en-suite rooms over six nights.Vicente, the proprietor, greeted us warmly, and from then on,with the assistance of his sister, catered for our every need. The location is ideal, only a short walk from town, with free parking outside. The buses to Amalfi,Cava and Pompei stop literally yards down the road, and the building overlooks the harbour.Vicente insisted that we treat the place as...

From the Salerno train station, take bus number one, four, or nine on Villa Roma Street pointing towards Amalfi coast. The bus stop is about 50 m prior to entry to B&B, a very tall coral colored building with one tall Tower section. There's a small sign reading name of B&B on telephone pole immediately across entrance. Ring the button...
