It was like you are staying in your own flat.the decoration was nice, the bed was comfortable,it was very clean and the breakfast was enough and the owner Monica was very friendly.we enjoyed our stay very much and I can recommend this place without no doubt.the only problem was parking if you have a car but Monica helped us to find... This designer B&B is tucked away in an old courtyard building in the historic central part of the city. As with all historic city centres in Italy, parking is difficult and tightly regulated by the authorities. If you are driving yourself, you need to find a park outside the old city walls, locate the B&B and then you will be... More

We only stayed one night and wish we had stayed longer. We made the mistake of basing ourselves in Sorrento for 5 days and taking day trips but we wish we had used Salerno as our home base. We stayed in a lovely apartment. Monica, our host, has a masters in architecture and has done a marvelous job of restoring... More

We enjoyed our one night at the Palazzo Morese B & B. Owner/manager was friendly, informative and accommodating. The apartment (2 rooms for our family of 4, kitchen and full bath) had high ceilings, looked out onto a courtyard, and was very clean and well-apportioned. Kids slept on a sofa bed, which they reported was reasonably comfortable, and the "master"... More

Beautifully decorated property, w/ a great deal of care taken to create a relaxed and sumptuous environment. Monica welcomed my teens and me and saw that we had snacks and the best of advice for seeing Salerno. After the first night, I began planning my return visit...

We stayed in this apartment with our 3 daughters for a week in July. Monica was a lovely host, very welcoming and gave us an insight to the history of the apartment on arrival. We booked both apartments on the floor, one with a queen bed and a sofa couch with a proper mattress which was very comfortable and the... More

A beautiful room in a tall building in the heart of the old part of Salerno. You can see the cathedral from the balcony. Monica (our hostess) was extremely welcoming and very helpful, she booked us a table at a nearby restaurant, which was superb. The B&B room is more like having your own apartment so this was lovely as... More

I searched for an attractive & comfortable B&B in Salerno for a long time since we return every year to visit family. I have finally found Palazzo Morese to be the one I was looking for. The building and location are fantastic, right in the middle of the centro storico and overlooking the bell tower of the Duomo. We were... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our accommodation is a "bed & breakfast" inside a historic building "Palazzo Morese" dating back to the fifteenth century, just a few steps from the Cathedral of Salerno, in the heart of the old part of the city. The building has a lovely central courtyard from the loggia Catalan, faces the "Largo Cassavecchia", of Lombard origin and seat of the ancient "Treasury" of Salerno hosted the Pope Gregory VII and was restored in the eighteenth century and its facade partially transformed into Baroque style. In the main display of the inner rooms gets a style inspired by the "rococo", a clear influence of Architecture Ferdinando Sanfelice. After the damage from World War II in 1943 and the earthquake in 1980, the palace underwent a first restoration in 1960 and subsequently in 1990.Opened in 1992 as a private residence in 2010, the owners of the top floor decided to open the doors of hospitality with a beautiful suite on the fourth floor, which is derived from the room perhaps the most beautiful of the entire floor that overlooks the bell tower of the Cathedral of Salerno. This year, the structure of the "bed & breakfast" has been expanded with two other suites on the second floor of the palace, the plan that was home to the Pope Gregory VII.The rooms are high, bright, spacious and equipped with en suite bathroom and small kitchenette. In particular, two suites One-room is the third bedroom apartment with living room and kitchenette. All suites are decorating with antiques and family can accommodate a total of six people. The spacious rooms are en suite. In detail, two bedrooms have surface areas of about 25/35mq and the third room apartment with living room and kitchenette, 40sqm.The cost per night includes breakfast, cleaning and linen, and excludes tax.Apply special discounts for long stays, and an additional fee of €15 for the addition of a single bed in the room and / or baby crib. For children under 4 years does not apply any tariff. ... more   less
