We spent 3 days in Residenza Luce. Very warm welcome from Vicenzo, staff from "reception" and brekfast terrasse very kind, Room (junior suite) very well kept, super clean and all in perfect state. Batchroom very well equiped with douche and bathtub, bathrobe also available. The room is equiped with a big TV screen, a balcony with a view on the central square. Staff availibility excellent providing excellent advices on local tours. In Italy, very often, hotels are not very well ranked for the cleaning. I want to highlight the rooom and all the building was super clean and weel maintained. The building and the rooms are refreshed every year and it is particulary pleasant to stay in a so well maintained residence. Breakfast is excellent with croisants, eggs, scrambled eggs, omelette, fruit salad, juices, jam, cheese and all what all what can be expected from an intercontinental breakfast . Congratulation to evrybody in this hotel making our stay so pleasant.

Here you can have the best of both worlds, a hotel which gives you the feel of holiday and luxury, and at the same time has a personal feel to it, from the moment you step into the hotel, it is clear that they just want you to be happy. Vincenzo the owner is such a lovely guy and would do anything for anyone, his team, Lydia and Rosaria at breakfast are there to serve you a wonderful breakfast with a smile. The rooms are traditional but modern, breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace on the rooftop. A few steps to the right of the hotel you are in a small quiet piazza, with a wonderul restaurant L'abside, this place has a wonderful local feel, and a few steps to the left and you have the main street of Amalfi, where it all happens. Everything was spotless. A lovely traditional but luxury hotel right in the centre of Amalfi, a minutes walk from EVERYTHING!!!!!! A fabulous place that totally gets it right!!!!

We visited at the beginning of March 2020 ... the Covid-19 Coronavirus resulted in us being the only guests in the hotel for the 3 nights we stayed, despite the quarantine not being implemented in Southern Italy at that stage. :-( Vincenzo and his mother could not have been more welcoming or more attentive. Vincenzo upgraded our rooms so we all had fabulous balcony rooms overlooking the lovely little town centre. The hotel was spotlessly clean, traditional in decor and very centrally positioned. Despite being the only 6 guests in the hotel the full breakfast buffet was served every morning and we were very impressed by the range and deliciousness of the food on offer. Vincenzo recommended places to eat, to visit and arranged taxis for us. He was so helpful. Being off-season (and I expect exacerbated by lack of travellers due to the virus outbreak) lots of places in Almalfi and the surrounding area were closed, but the places that were open offered superb food and wine and excellent service.

Vincenzo, his mama Lidia, and their team including Sergio exceeded our expectations! The rooms were lovely, especially the tile! The location of the hotel was extremely central, yet when you closed the windows/doors and wooden shutters, all was silent for sleeping. The views from the rooms were great, as well. The attention we received from exceptional! Lidia treated us like her own grown up children and touched base with us every time we walked or down the stairs past the lobby! She always wanted to know what we were up to! The family's restaurant (out the door and to the right 2 minutes) was delicious! Vincenzo's sister took excellent care of us for our meal there! Other friends in our group ate their multiple times - we highly recommend! And the breakfasts - ahhh the breakfasts on the top floor (eat inside or outside on the terrace in sun or shade) were to die for! A terrace selection of foods and Sergio and a young lady (we didn't learn her name) delivered up fried eggs and lattes to our crew upon request every morning! We miss those breakfasts! Thank you so much for a delightful stay! We are so thankful we stayed with you!
