This was our first stop on a 10-day trip to Italy. We spent 3 nights at the Hotel Marina Riviera and really enjoyed our stay. Our family of 4 rented two rooms and we were situated directly across from one another which was convenient and appreciated. The stay were extremely accommodating and willing to help assist us with dinner recommendations and reservations. Both rooms were updated, clean and spacious. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine and small snacks the first night which were a nice touch. The complimentary breakfast and service were spectacular. Location is also great - away from the actual city center to reduce noise at night, but close enough to walk to the city center in 5 minutes. Thank you to all who made our stay memorable! Highly recommend.
I had to write this review as myself and my husband have just returned from the most perfect holiday to the Hotel Marina Riviera. It was our first time in Amalfi and first time in Italy. We paid for a private transfer organised by the hotel. The drive was absolutely stunning. Our driver was so very lovely and pointed out some important sights along the route. Transfer was around 1hr 30mins. We arrived at the hotel around midday. We were celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary whilst there but it was meant to be our 10th wedding anniversary but it was put off twice due to covid. We had been given a free upgrade to a little suite and it had the most picture perfect views 🥰 we were so happy with the room. It was incredibly clean. We had toiletries provided (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, soap, hand cream) We also had a little wash bag provided containing shaving cream and razor and toothbrushes etc. Our room had a jet shower, and a jet bath. Very lovely. The hotel is quite small with I think only 34 rooms. We picked it because it was small. It was incredibly beautiful. It is right on the sea front. It is 5 minutes walk into the main Amalfi town. The terrace where you eat breakfast is just amazing! Breakfast selection was lovely and fresh! A menu you can choose egg options such as omelette and eggs and bacon. Fresh fruits, meats, yoghurts, fresh juice, cakes, several flavours of croissants. Breads. Cereal. The pool is beautiful and on the top floor. Where there is also a small bar and a terrace with sun parasols and sun loungers. The pool is all the same depth of around 1.85m so just be aware. They have pool noodle floats so you can float around if you aren't able to touch the floor. The staff are just so attentive and lovely. They work so hard and made our stay just wonderful. We ate at their restaurant on our last night. It is small so you need to book a table. We sat out on the terrace and it's just lovely to see the views in the evening. The food was amazing! Everything about this hotel was amazing I cannot recommend it enough! They have 1 lift so you can get up and down. There is a small mini bar in the room well there was in our room I don't know about all room types. They offer a laundry and ironing service. We did make use of the ironing service. They said it would take up to 24hours. We had it back within the hour! Amazing! Our room was cleaned daily. Fresh towels. If you want to know about excursions they will tell you everything you need to know. We took a ferry to Capri. Walked down to the kiosks near the pier. We paid around €42 per person. The ferry was lovely and views incredible. I normally get sea sick not on this ferry was so calm on the water. If you want to eat out ask reception they have good recommendations. Oh and the cocktails were so so amazing here! Definitely try the blue one! & an Aperol Spritz! I will be recommending this hotel to anyone I can. Thank you so so much for making our anniversary the most special time. 💗…
Amazing place to be on your honeymoon. I don't know what could top it! Directly facing the beach/cliffs/ocean of Amalfi, the views and location are unbeatable for Amalfi. The pool was great, and had a bar. The restaurant was fantastic - I don't know how it wasn't fully booked. There are a limited number of seats on the balcony so make sure to make a reservation, but don't miss it. We even met another couple on their honeymoon and had drinks with them. One note to show how great the service was: my wife was hit with motion sickness from the roads down from Ravello. The staff was quick to her aid with fresh orange juice and water. Just one example of how accommodating they were. Thanks!
Here is a snippet from the email I sent the hotel after leaving the hotel. Unfortunately I couldn't fit it all here! I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback from my recent experience with the Hotel Marina Riviera. From the moment I booked the hotel in April, I knew I had made the right choice. As I was traveling internationally just myself and my 2 year old daughter, I had a lot of questions and needs. I sent the Hotel Marina Riviera no less than 40 emails with questions about flights, transportation, car seats, restaurants, swimming facilities- you name it, I asked. Not only did I always receive a prompt response (usually within 20 minutes!), but I always received a polite and super helpful response addressing all of my concerns. It was already the best customer service I had ever experienced in my life, and I wasn't even in Italy yet. Upon arriving at the hotel after a long travel day we were greeted by Costantino. I cannot say enough amazing things about Costantino. He was so welcoming and attentive, and I was shocked to learn that he and the team had taken the liberty to upgrade our room for us. As a single mom who had been looking forward to this trip for months, I was speechless. I had never experienced such generosity before. Once he showed us to our room, I was blown away at the attention to detail that went into the setup of our room. Not only had they set up a crib for my daughter, but they also included a teddy bear for her. They also put a lot of thought into what we might like upon our arrival that evening- with a bottle of wine for me and a bottle of juice for my daughter. For the remainder of our trip we had positive experiences with all members of the staff, including Roberta, Lucia, Pasquale, Vincenzo, Ernesto, Giorgio, and Raffaele- to name a few! Overall, my experience with the Hotel Marina Riviera was the best I've experienced - and I consider myself a "hotel snob". There is nowhere else I would stay when returning to Amalfi.…
Quiet, charming, classic. This historic hotel caters to sophisticated travelers and those looking for a peaceful environment to truly experience Italian culture. Staff are superior in every way (attentive, fluent, friendly, knowledgeable, hardworking) and are more like family after many years of memories here. Raffaele who has worked here for almost 20 years is the epitome of hospitality and is undeniably the heart of the hotel. The accommodations are immaculate, bright and there is a panoramic view of the sea and town. Breakfast is the best in the whole Amalfi Coast. (This is not a suitable hotel for children, animals or party goers which are all welcome and appropriate in the Main Street)
This hotel was amazing! The staff are so welcoming and accommodating. They greeted us on arrival with drinks, and were attentive throughout. The little extra s provided were a great touch. The rooms are spotless and the location is perfect.
We spent two nights at the Marina Riviera and we could have easily stayed longer. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the main square. The room was spotless clean and spacious, with a massive window facing the sea. The staff were wonderful and helpful. But one memory in particular I will cherish for a long time... the atmosphere on the terrace. The floor tiles, the breeze coming from the sea, the view.. Whether early in the morning for breakfast or for an early evening aperitivo or a delicious dinner, that terrace was a beautiful spot to go back to time and time again. This is an unmistakably refined and almost understated place, straight back from a bygone era where the Mediterranean meets great hospitality👍😊
I was booked into this hotel as part of a small tour group that stayed there. It was a fabulous choice in terms of fantastic service, lovely rooms, great breakfasts, and an easy walk into Amalfi. The rooms are very well equipped with great bathrooms (with exceptional water pressure), very comfortable beds and the perfect view of Amalfi and the coast. The front desk staff is very helpful. I would stay there again if I'm in the area.
We only stayed here because the hotel we had originally booked into was too disgusting to stay in - and what a lovely hotel this is - the views from both our bedroom and the restaurant terrace were awesome. The room was exceptionally clean, the staff polite and the food in the restaurant was superb. How fortunate we were to end up here instead of the other dreadful place.
Absolutely perfect stay at this hotel. From arrival to departure this hotel is a real treat. Staff are all great here. The room is fantastic (it was huge!) with enormous comfy bed and fab bathroom. The balcony was superb with an incredible view over Amalfi. The pool and terrace is great for a drink and as a place to relax after exploring (lots of steps in this area, so the pool is a welcome treat after walking for sure!). The breakfast was good (weird that you have to pay for eggs? But plenty otherwise anyway for us in terms of a continental breakfast… and the cake was delicious!). All in all we absolutely loved staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend this beautiful hotel..!!!
