Detailed Reviews
We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel, which is in a wonderful location. The room was very large, attractive and well equipped, including a fridge. Price was very reasonable. There is on site car parking. The breakfast (which can be taken on the terrace with view of the mountains) included home made yoghurt from the owner’s sheep and goats, which are farmed a few miles away. We were given a very warm welcome by the owner, who speaks good English and who gave us a great deal of useful information and advice on walks in the area, which were the reason for our visit. There is a taverna serving meals opposite. The hotel is located in the upper village and it is about 5 minutes’ walk down over stone paths to the village Square where there are several eating options. Note that most of the rooms require a number of steps for access.

We got to Ladias because it's the cheapest accomodation in the area. Located in Monodendri, it makes the best base to make a road trip around Zagori.
Although cheapest, the price is breakfast included and had all facilities working just fine.
As soon as we got to the place, the worker there gave us a full explanation about the attractions in the area, and made a travel itinerary for us. We didn't even ask, he just came and did it before we could even ask any questions. It was absolutely fantastic.
In conclusion, the place is the cheapest around Zagori and even so does not lack a thing. Great facilities, great staff, great location.
Thank you so much!

Very nice, very clean, very friendly, great breakfast to get us on our way on the trek to Papingo.
We left our luggage and our car there while we were trekking and they were happy to help.
Their cab service is also great.
The Ladias family is a local family, living in Monodendri for hundreds of years.

The only good thing (not great) was the breakfast. It contained eggs, jams, croissants, cheese pie, milk, cereals, natural juice, coffee, cold meats, bread, honey. That's what breakfast had.
The room was fortunately warm (we visited the property in December). The bathroom was crap. The shower incredibly small. The bathroom needs renovation for the 70 euros a night we paid

Really the worst room we have ever stayed... probably don't know what would mean cleanliness not only in the room but in all areas of the accommodation. Everywhere there was a bad smell and a mess.The rooms did not have air conditioning because as the owners told us if you open the window at night it is quite cool. But to open the windows and sleep like this, they have to have a thread. There were no screens in any window. The rooms really are not worth even 30 euros, not 70 euros that we gave. Of course we only stayed one night and for our good luck we found another hotel in the area at the same price that really was worth more!

Nice and helpful staff, peaceful and cozy atmosphere, very comfy beds. We planned to hike and were caught by rain, Lefteris was super helpful knowledgeable. He helped us in finding alternative hiking trails in the area. Highly recommend!

We liked everything about that guesthouse - location, views, spatiuos room with fireplace, modern shower,small balcony where you can see sunrise over the mountains, friendly young brothers that can help you with any question. When we decided to hike to Vikos we had only to phone from there and twenty minutes after one of them (sorry, don't remember his name) came to pick us up and the other made us wonderfull frappe that was so delicious after our long and tiring day. Best place for those who like unspolied beautiful and quite places!!!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on a recent trip hiking in and around the Vikos Gorge. The service was exceptional, the staff (two brothers that we dealt with) were extremely helpful (here are three examples):
- on the first evening we arrived we were informed the weather wasn't looking too good for the next day so it might be a good idea to catch the sunset over the gorge from the nearby lookout point that evening rather than leave it until the next day. (An amazing place to see the gorge.) - nice local knowledge and very thoughtful;
- they brought us their house speciality cheese pies when we arrived as a welcome;
- we were slow rising one morning and they 'held' breakfast for us...we didn't ask, they saw us leaving and insisted we take breakfast even though it was 11am;
- we had a fireplace in our room and they supplied free wood, kindling, firelighter and a lighter so we could enjoy a real fire in the hearth.
Rooms are large and clean. Bed comfy. Good shower in the bathroom. Free WiFi for those that need to check their emails! Off street parking. Usual Greek buffet breakfast which is just fine (and includes the delicious homemade tiropita - cheese pies).
If you are after out-and-out 5* luxury, then perhaps the Ladias isn't quite for you. But for the value for money, the service and the friendly staff this place would be hard to beat.
