Clean rooms, some with balconies. Came with a buffet breakfast. Only stayed one night to see Sassi di Matera, the cave dwellers. My only complaint is it was a bit far from the city center. No walking to dinner. Staff spoke English well.

A fancy hotel on 45 'minutes' walk from the center. There is a bus nearby. There is a private car park. The room was clean and everything was there. The breakfast was good. We have missed a few things at breakfast. There was no fresh fruit, bread,… There is a nice pool with changing room, shower, umbrellas, ... The receptionist...

We came to Matera to see the Sassi De Matera, so we actually spent very little time at the hotel which was a shame as the gardens and the pool were both very good. Check in was a breeze, plenty of parking and English wasn't a problem. Breakfast was good and plentiful and we would stay here again. The view...

We spent two nights at the hotel while touring Matera. It was a bit removed from the city center where all of the interesting sight are to be found so it required a drive. Not problem since we had a car. Clean safe neighborhood and friendly staff. Outdoor pool on site but we were there in October so it was...

Its more like a 5 star hotel. The rooms are large and very well appointed. Fast in room wi-fi is available, but you only get one password to connect that only allows one computer or tablet, not both. The rooms are clean and bright. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it was excellent - the staff were...

A good moderate-price hotel, with a comfortable bed, adequate space, and good WiFi. The hotel restaurant was not open, but the breakfast was par for the course in Italy. Good location for a driving trip, but well outside the historic center.

We spent only one night in this hotel and we found it very nice, clean and comfortable . The room was spacious, with a terrace and the bathroom was also big and well equiped. The hotel is situated 2 minutes by car from the historical center of Matera. The breakfast was great -with wide range of products. It was very...

Yes, they are building a swimming pool (2014), so better to avoid the noise of the busy week. But I highly recommend this hotel, where I'll surely return to see the Sassis. You'll have to have a car though, because it's 3 miles away from the town, but it's worth it: spacious rooms with wifi & air-conditioning, competent smiling staff,...

Good for the price. Location is a bit far out but only 10 min away. Clean, hospitable, and speaks English.

The hotel is located in the outskirts of Matera - a minus if your only purpose of visit is seeing the Sassi, but an advantage on getting quickly and easy to the major roads around the city. If you are on your own wheels, it is no more than 5 min to get to the center of the city. Rooms...
