This is a unique experience! Even the journey by seaplane is impressive. A warm and friendly welcome from the owners and the introduction to the property completed the trip.
The cabins all have an outstanding standard with toilet, shower with hot water, comfortable beds and wood stove for self-firing. Really nice modern but also cozy and that in the wilderness of the Yukon.
The food was prepared by Katrin (like a Herrgöttli). It represents a fine and differentiated (European) cuisine. It was all first class delicious and prepared with attention to detail. It was just fine.
We also had great conversations about politics, work, science and the world... just about everything and that at the dining table or afterwards in front of the warm fire in the upholstery group.
The Wi-Fi was surprisingly very fast! You could (but would be a shame) work here and do business.
There are various Things to do. Go fishing by motorboat to one or the other place in the lake (it has many fish we have seen but were lazy to bite) or paddle by canoe, walk, sauna, hot tub, fire evening at the lake etc.
We left Meinrad and Katrin with the assumption that we will come back. Thanks for everything! Remo (and Bruno)

Property's Favorite Review
I have travelled extensively throughout the Yukon for 20+ years and Tincup Wilderness Lodge was far and away the best place I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. The bed, fireplace, scenery , food and hosts all exemplary. It was true bliss and peace. We were the last two visitors of the season which meant we had the place to ourselves. Thank you Meinrad and Katrine for a wonderful time! We will be back.

I have been lucky to have travelled over 16 million kilometers worldwide and Tincup is truly one of the most remarkable and beautiful places in the world.
We were hesitant to travel outside of Canada this year. I suggested to my better half, since you have not been up north why don't we explore the Yukon? She agreed and we contacted Laurie at Yukon tours. Laurie suggested Tincup. We had never heard of Tincup, but we are so glad that we trusted her. What an amazing place!
We got picked up in Whitehorse and were driven to Burwash landing. From there it was a quick 25 minute float plane flight thru a mountain pass onto Tincup Lake. The lake is 17 kilometers long and looked like glass. The flight was so smooth that we were on the water for about 5 seconds before my "boss" said, "are we down yet?"
The cabin that we stayed at was made with the precision of a fine swiss watch, think Rolex or Breitling. The beds, duvets and pillows were so comfortable that I had not seen my wife sleep so peacefully for the last 5 years. The place is extremely clean and comfortable.
They even have top brand fishing rods and reels, tackle boxes, nets and lifejackets for use. We especially liked the zippered pocket in the lifejacket which allowed easy access to our iPhones. The fishing was spectacular. We caught lots of fish everyday and both of us caught massive pikes! We even caught arctic grayling and trout from the shore right in front of the lodge. The first morning as I was fishing from the dock at 7:30am, a young moose came around the corner and was about 30-40 meters from me. We both looked at each other and he turned around and left. I was surprised to say the least. I was also shocked to see almost everyday an eagle sitting so close on a tree observing us.
Later that morning, at about 10am, after we had both caught 20 pound plus pikes, (at the same time), a mother moose came within 10 meters of our boat. She stared at us for a long time. She left and then came back to look at us again. I'm pretty sure this moose had never seen a human before. I took a short video and it is posted on the Instagram page for Yukon Wilderness and on Tincups' Facebook page. An unbelievable experience!!
In addition, the food was so delicious and healthy. Catherine is an amazing chef! When I ate her cauliflower soup one day for lunch, it brought back wonderful memories of my mum as she used to make it. Furthermore, Catherine's home made breads are wonderful. I could have eaten more, but my waistline would have ballooned.
In summary, our adventure at Tincup was a trip of a lifetime. Tincup is not heaven, but I'm pretty sure you can see it from here.

My wife and I were fortunate to stay here without any other guests on site. Cabins are outstanding with great views. Meinrad and Kathy go above and beyond in service and overall care. Location is on a pristine lake which is very remote, only reached by float plane. Meals are outstanding. Views are as good as it gets. Fishing is great even though we weren't the greatest fisherman. You won't find another place like this in Canada. Don't hesitant to book a trip. We were there one full week.

Fabulous luxury facility in the stunning Yukon. Was here for 4 unforgettable days late June/early July 2022. If absolute seclusion, peace, deadly fishing, and great meals are on your horizon, this is the place! You will not be disappointed. We caught and released 30 fish in 3 days on this picturesque lake. It was 26 degrees each day. Although the ice was off only 2 a few weeks, it was swimmable (by Canadian standards). Saw eagles, mountain sheep, a Grizzly, and slept like a baby——-even though it was barely dusk for 2 hours each night. Meinrad and Katrin are lovely, welcoming characters. Do it!

A super nice and high quality converted lodge. The cottages and the grounds are harmoniously coordinated.
The hosts create a pleasant and personal atmosphere that make this dreamlike place even more beautiful.
A great place for those who like to be in nature and want to relax a bit.

An amazing experience in the Yukon. Meinrad, Katrin and the team made our groups stay one for the ages. The accommodations were luxurious, the food tasty and fresh and the location magical. We arrived from Whitehorse on a float plane and then they organized a flight over Kulane National Park. The fishing is good but not spectacular. Its more about the environment and the experience. If your an intense fisherman this is not your lodge. However if your a nature explorer and want to immerse yourself in the Yukon environment and do some really good fishing this is a great place. We will return

Every detail has been thought of at Tin Cup Lodge. The wood fired hot tub, the sauna with views of the lake and especially the wonderful meals. Kathryn cooked us meals that rivalled any restaurant in the Yukon. My husband caught his lake trout of a lifetime on the fly rod! The peacefulness of the lodge is truly unmatched and we loved every minute of it. Meinrad and Kathryn are truly amazing hosts.
