Had a great time in this hostel. The staff is superfriendly and helpful (reception 24h). Hostel, room, bed - all clean. It was nice atmosphere there with other travellers hanging around. There is kitchen where you can cook and keep your staff. You can also keep your luggage in the luggae room in case you arrive earlier/need to leave later. There is also a cool terrace. Location of this hostel is really convenient, close to centre, walking 5mins from the main squares. Carrfour is like 3mins. There is a bus 32 to rhe beach in front of the hostel, it takes 30-40mins to get there. Thank you!

My daughter had been hounding me for years to give the hostel life a go , obviously as a 55 yr old mum I was slightly reluctant !
Anyway my daughter and I were visiting Valencia and I left it to her to sort out the accommodation - needless to say we ended up at Purple nest
As a hostel virgin I was very impressed - there were quite a few people ‘my age ‘ as well as younger too , my daughter did say it didn’t seem as ‘young’ as other hostels she’d visited ( she’s 26 ). We had a private room ( I wasn’t prepared for 12 bed dorm 😬 ) with AC , the room was small but perfect as a base for sight seeing ,in a great location , lots of nice ,clean showers on each floor - building is set over 6 floors , luckily with a lift 👵🏻😂 large communal area and kitchen with a very reasonably priced bar
If I were to return I would maybe try to book the private room with terrace….. we stayed for 5 nights and slept well ( which at my age is important 😂)

This is a good functioning hostel with really friendly staff and a great bar and kitchen. It is a hostel so bed rooms are shared and so are WC's and bathrooms. I had a twin room with my travelling companion. It is clean and they pride themselves on being eco friendly and friendly. I would say that they meet both aspirations. Continental breakfast was 5 euros and was a good price, the bar has good prices for drinks. It was a 30 minute walk from the main train station, and about a ten minute walk into town.

Well before we arrived the management provided information to us that was helpful. A little hard to find was our only issue, but once here it’s close to most of Valencia’s main highlights. Colourful, quirky common areas! Clean kitchen facilities. The bar this day had beer specials so we indulged! Our room was small but comfortable with all the amenities one would need. Shared bathroom. Staff were terrific especially the Portuguese guy at reception (I’m sorry, I forgot your name…) Reasonable rates were a bonus to add to a really good stay.

Nice clean hostel with bar and good activities. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is 24h reception. I had the private room on the 6th floor and is totally worth the money. Was nice to have a beer at the bar to meet like minded travellers. I would definitely stay again if I am traveling to valencia.

It’s a good hostel, they have a very nice and bid kitchen and also a terrace in which you can stay. They offer laundry for 2 euros. We stayed in a double bed room for 2 people with shared bathroom. The room was nice, clean and good space, the bathroom is also big and clean, our room was the 61, if you have the opportunity book this room. It has a very beautiful private terrace with a good view.

It is said to be the best hostel in Valencia which suprises me .Its a nice hostel with very good staff but not amazing. The bar/breakfast area is a little dark and without a window and the outdoor area was scruffy, having said that I did visit in Jan and it probably wasnt used much maybe only the smokers .The location is ok but on a main road and its a short walk to the old city.I had room 62 at the top which was good but room 61 has its own terrace and is wayyyy better.Staff were great and it was very clean throughout.

When we checked in the girl at reception was very friendly - gave us a map, gave a paella recommendation (which was yum!), checked us into a 4 bed dorm with a balcony (there were four of us travelling, which was great), and even said 'if the room is too nice, she would be happy to change it'
Wish we'd read Melanieanne77's review! 2am in the morning, my friend woke me up because he said he'd been severely bitten by bed bugs and had spoken to reception and they had given us another room. I could actually see the bugs crawling all over my friend's bed. Thankfully, I didn't get too many bites, but my friends got at least 30 each!

The next morning, we spoke to the girl at reception and asked for a refund, we also asked for money to go to the laundromat and put all our clothes and bags through a dryer cycle - with that many bites, it was clear they had some serious infestation - and the only way to get rid of bedbug eggs which nest quickly is intense prolonged heat.

The girl at reception was rude and most belligerent that they were not 'chinches' , and didn't refund us the money until someone came in to examine the bed, despite the tell tale trail of bites on both my friends' arms and backs!

Ultimately the manager (very nice man) did give us the refund and 20 euro for the laundromat - which was adequate.

But unless they have taken some serious measures to get rid of them, I would think the bugs have found themselves a nice feasting and nesting ground at the Purple nest!

I got 30 bedbug bites on each arm and hand. This was in a 10 bed mixed dorm. Ive had to call an extermintor for my bedroom at home. He said that to have so many bites in a room with other people, means there's a serious infestation.

When i was staying there, I asked for an extra blanket...they didnt have any. I guess that means that they dont rotate/clean their blankets.

The hostel was really kind when I emailed about the bedbugs and said that they hoped i was ok and that they would check it.

Please people, check your mattresses, dont put your luggage on the bed etc.

I never thought the horror stories were true.

Answer from Jr P
La spiaggia piú vicina è la spiaggia de Las Arenas e la spiaggia della Malvarrosa. Dall'aereoporto all'ostello ci vuole mezzora in metro, con la linea 3 o la linea 5.
Answer from Jr P
Si certo, non c'è problema, puoi lasciare i bagagli nel luggage room fino alle 11 di sera.
