We hired a private room for Christmas Eve dinner last year and it was a really memorable evening. All the staff very extremely pleasant and professional and we had a wonderful Christmassy dinner. We are a large family but the room was very airy and it even had space for us to have a little dance at the end. I would highly recommend to save the stresses/chaos derived from large gatherings in small flats. The help received by Brigitte and Bianca to organise the event did not go unnoticed. Thank you for accommodating for vegetarians and vegans in the family, it was highly appreciated.

Rooms are very nice, spa and heated swimming pool very well appreciated. Food at snacking and restaurant is not cheap but really excellent and original. Worth it! Staff is really friendly. Hotel is super well located close to parc and city center ! We loved it :)

Just a classy hotel. Wonderful staff and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fantastic with a great choice of hot and cold foods and a menu for breakfast as well, and included fizzy wine. The bed was huge and so comfortable. Ideally located to get to town and all its amenities.

I stayed for three nights in January - a part business, part family visit. I had booked a Superior room but was upgraded to a De Luxe - unfortunately with two narrow single bands rather than a double bed (I will know next time to specify a double bed, with or without upgrade!). The room (in the main building) was large and well equipped, and very quiet. Uninspiring view of the backs of other buildings, but light and not immediately overlooked. It was very clean and my only complaint of housekeeping was that, despite putting up the "Please do not Disturb" sign, twice (on different occasions), a maid knocked on my door when I was in the bathroom (once in the morning and once in the early evening). The staff generally were charming and helpful. The restaurant is small and rather cramped for breakfast - I did get a table for the two mornings I took breakfast there, but it was quite crowded. I had room service breakfast on another occasion, and that was very good. I was on a British Airways Holidays package and felt that I got very good value. Everywhere in the centre of Valencia is easily walkable and although the hotel is just outside the old city it is only about 15-18 minutes from the market, cathedral etc and very close to the Turia, which is wonderful for walking in either direction. The walk to the Arts and Science Park is about 20-25 minutes, but there are also plenty of buses and the metro for getting around - the CityMapper phone app includes Valencia and I found it very useful, also the Free Now taxi app.…

This hotel has all the modern comforts in a modern & elegant style. My bedroom was lovely and the bed possibly the most comfortable I’ve slept in in all my travels! The restaurant food very good too. The service throughout is very professional and friendly. An easy 15 minutes walk from Mercado Central, it is located in a very nice area. I will definitely stay here again.

Room very good in main hotel, room service good, chocolate and water each night. Gentle elegant atmosphere in main areas, with good reception staff. Very helpful. Small spa ok but max 6 was not adhered to. Not sure it mattered. Very good restaurant, reasonable price, good portions, looks like they are trying for Michelin level but with decent portions. All staff very pleasant. Would not think of going to Valencia again unless staying here. Looking to stay at another hotel in this tiny chain soon.

Hugely disappointing. Room tiny and with awkward layout. Ugly view from window. Bathroom sink blocked with dirt. We heard babies crying all night as the walls are paper thin. Hardly any amenities in bathroom. Pool/spa area can barely accommodate 10 people as they’re so small. Grossly overpriced for what it offers.

Just returned from a lovely stay in Valencia at Palau de la Mar. Arriving on Thursday, which turned out to be a Public Holiday in Spain, to find the City bustling and vibrant with lots of families out & about before Christmas. Our stay was part of a BA Holiday package which included use of the spa and breakfast. The Spa was good and use was controlled as part of Covid safety. So was limited to 4-6 people at any one time. However, no such control was in place at breakfast. Suffice to say is that there is NOT enough tables for all guests to be seated at the same time. The very friendly and helpful Reception staff unfortunately did not point this out. So arriving on Saturday, at just before 10.00 proved a big problem. They had no available tables and could only give a very approximate wait time. We were told 10 mins, which turned into 20. Others found the same problem and were offered the opportunity to take tea/coffee while waiting. Sadly, we were not. Eventually we suggested that they set us up a small table in the bar area in an adjoining room. After about 15 minutes we were offered the opportunity to change tables, but could not be bothered. Being in an adjoining room meant that waiter service was sporadic at best. We were promised that things would improve on Sunday, as the Hotel was slightly less busy. True to a point! Arriving again about 09.50 we were shown to a table in the restaurant and waited to be served. After 10 mins we had to call a server over and ask for coffee and our choice of a cooked breakfast. The coffee arrived but the food did not. After chasing our food twice, we were old ‘Not to worry, it was on it’s way’ on both occasions. After 25 mins my wife’s food arrived, but not mine. I enquired again and it was blatantly apparent that the server had only ordered one meal. My food arrived 10 mins later, long after my wife had finished. Once again NO APOLOGY was offered. READ ON…The Hotel Management said they were aware of the issue, accepted full responsibility and some compensation was offered & accepted. However, this is NOT the level of service we expected and had paid for in this level of Hotel. Having said all this, the rest of our stay was excellent. As previously stated, the front of house staff were very good. Our room was spotless at all times and the cleaners did an excellent job. We ate in the restaurant on Sunday evening and the food and level of service was faultless. One member of staff we feel worthy of naming is Noella, whose primary function is to run the bar in the PM and evening. She was excellent, friendly and attentive. She even helped out at Breakfast on Monday morning and her level of service is something that the female head server at breakfast could learn a lot from. We throughly recommend the Hotel for it’s location, accommodation and general level of service. Just take care NOT to arrive at peak time for breakfast if you expect an acceptable level of service for a hotel of this grade. Hence only awarding 4 stars.…

Our visit here was altogether disappointing, and we would not stay here again. We had spent four nights at a different hotel in town, and decided to extend our stay in Valencia by 3 nights at Palau de la Mar, which turned out to be inferior to the 3/4-star we stayed at before. We paid for a "superior" room, but got placed in a lesser "dreamer" room, on a lower and much louder floor. The noise outside our door was constant. We felt like we were staying in a cheap American roadside motel for that first night. I requested a different room, the staff obliged, and that's when I realized they had put us in the incorrect room the previous night. Our new room was the one we had paid for, and though it was significantly nicer, the overall look and feel was more on the level of a 3-star Wyndham than, say, a W or Four Seasons. In both rooms, the lighting was excessively bright and cold, the furnishings all had that cheap IKEA "espresso" patina, and the views (even from the fourth floor) left plenty to be desired. If that wasn't enough, the WiFi was totally slow and spotty, and we couldn't get hot water in our shower the second night. The front desk told us they'd send help in 5 minutes, which never arrived. We followed up on our way out, and the attendant insisted (twice) that it was impossible that our shower had no hot water because the hot water was centralized. I had to explain to him, emphatically, that the mixing valve was the most likely culprit before he agreed to dispatch help. (Hours later, it was fixed.) On the positive side, this hotel is well located, and breakfast is excellent. That said, nobody who has actually stayed at a 5-star hotel would think of ranking this hotel in that category. If our experience is typical, there are nicer accommodations in the 4-star range in Valencia, at significantly less cost. …

Our first impressions of the hotel were positive, it wasn’t until we started using the facilities in our room that we had problems. This was quickly resolved by Laura and her manager who upgraded us to a fab room which we enjoyed for the rest of our stay. Extremely comfortable bed and nice hot rain forest shower. Breakfast every day in the hotel restaurant was very good although there is room for improvement. A better selection of fruit, the variety of bread could change daily, the white untoasted bread served with the egg specials needs changing and the toaster needs upgrading (had to put the bread in 4 times to get any colour). The hotel is in a very convenient position within easy walking distance of all the main sights and València North station. Would recommend for a few days away in Valencia…
