Excellent location smack in the historical city centre. This is not the slick corporate kind of hostel, but a very authentic one. The common kitchen/living room is three floors high with the bedrooms and bathrooms organized around it in three floors, but it is not noisy. The personnel is kind, helpful, and actively and successfully fosters the social life: daily free walking tours are provided, one night there was free sangria, another there was a soccer match and everyone was watching together (with free crisps and pop corn) etc. The hostel seems to attract well-behaved guests. Everything was always clean. The bedrooms without bunk beds are a refreshing change. The bathroom was very practical and spacious.

Breakfast was four euros and small (very basic) in case you need it. Otherwise great vibe at the hostel and easy to meet folks. The rooms were clean and shared bathrooms were nice. Location was near the historic core. Nothing above and beyond other hostels besides a great location in Valencia and easy to meet other people.

I went only for a night but I’ll come back for more, since check in with a super kind receptionist that speaks perfectly English and gives very good advices, the hostel is a good option for those that desn’t care about making friends from all over the world, thank you Mirthe

Actually quite a nice hostel, people & athmosphere was ok. But the kitchen was equipped soo badly there wasn't even oil or pepper, which they say that they provide.. They let you leave your luggage there for free which is nice. The location is nice if you want to go in the city center but if you want to go to the beach it takes you about an hour walk. In my opinion it is just too expensive for what they actually offer, I'm sorry.

This was an excellent hostel, and I very much enjoyed my stay; it's definitely a very social hostel, with a relatively small and intimate common area, designed to ensure that the guests interact with each other as much as possible. The lockers were spacious enough for a small bag, the wifi worked well in the common areas, and free dinner is included. Additionally, the hostel is very well located. No complaints!

A really nice to meet people and chill. Always the location is really good. A bit noisy but still really nice to spend time. You also have the free family dinner to meet other people. There are people from all over the world

The best place to be in Valencia, perfect location, Alessio and all the ladies ( Alice, Ivana) who works at the reception are very professional to delivery perfect customer service to the guests. All the ladies are offering very good concierge service as well and they love their job!! the hostel is very welcoming, like a family!!! Thanks for all. i miss you already! See you soon. Silvia

I can only say good things about this hostel. The staff was very friendly, the whole structure was clean and even if I'm quite shy and reserved, they all were very nice with me. Free dinner every night and tour around the town are something you don't see everywhere. For the price you pay, they for sure offer even more than a lot of other places. Also it was nice to speak to some of the stuff in Italian, will go back for sure.

Arrived near midday and was greeted at the top of the stairs by Vlado yelling at me ‘can you be any louder!’ and continued to make negative facial gestures at me and then stormed away. Great first impression! Overwhelmed, disgusted and moreso bewildered as to who he was at the time what he was referring to - I let it slide. He then continued to check me in with a horrible attitude and then proceeded to speak to me in Spanish this time round. After politely stating I couldn’t speak Spanish and apologized to which he responded, ‘ah of course’ and made further facial gestures and shaking his head towards me. To clarify I wasn’t ‘loud’ and literally just walked in the door. That evening, I was then asked If I was aware during check in if I had to change my rooms during my 2 night stay and that I should have been informed of this at check-in. Surprise I wasn’t made aware! However, other staff managed to fix it. The accommodation is simple but does the job. The hostel is very chilled but in the heart of the city if you want to explore or party outside. It also attracted a mixed age range, so be aware if you are expecting a young crowd. Cant complain with the family dinner as its free. The guys from the Tour Me Out company were great who coordinated the walking and bar tours. …

Just back from a great 2 night stay at Home Youth Valencia. This is my first time in 10 years staying in a hostel, I'm in my late 30's & found the hostel very sociable. Great location, clean & great value. As many other reviews have mentioned the staff are incredibly friendly & helpful, Thanks to Fredrico & Matt who gave great local advice!! The hostel lay on an evening meal & walking tours. This place is just idea & Valencia is a fantastic city.
