The hotel was completely renovated in 2008, is located on the front line of Levante beach in Benidorm, the capital of the Costa Blanca, about 60 km. From Alicante Airport. And 20 m from the beach, 20 minutes walk from downtown, full of shops, restaurants and bars, and 3 km from the bus station, which connects with the international airports of El Altet (Alicante) and Manises (Valencia), and the rest of the coastal area. It is the perfect place to relax and explore the area. We have a pool for adults and children (heated in winter) with Jacuzzi, a sun terrace with loungers and bar service, 2 lifts, air conditioning and heating, and private parking. Our hotel has a friendly and helpful staff always at your disposal. We also have a spacious restaurant, where you will find a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For fun and entertainment for our guests, we provide amusement several nights a week, such as Live music, a spectacular Flamenco show or a show of magic.

Detailed Reviews
Visited for 3 weeks Feb/Mar for winter break.
Pros: spotlessly clean. Towels and bedding changed very frequently .Friendly helpful staff. Our room was very modern. In quiet area at end of bay away from late night noise
Hotel provided a kettle as requested on booking as well as a high floor room.
We put our pillows on the plastic chairs the first day and we’re immediately provided with extra pillows without asking.
Cons: No outside balcony. Only two very large windows, top half opened right back to give impression of balcony but no curtains only full height blinds which banged if the window was open and did not block out light from hotel neon lights at night.Nowhere to dry swimwear etc . Nowhere to fix a line which would have dripped into the room anyway.
Only chairs were plastic garden chairs in “balcony” area of room.
At this time of year the sun didn’t reach the hotel until early afternoon. The sunbed area was quite small if the hotel was busy in summer and the sun beds were “fixed” so could only lie down and not adjust to sit and read etc
Modern bathroom was “ open plan”. Shower and toilet were enclosed but had plate glass walls/ doors so outline shape of person could be seen. Perhaps not so good if friends rather than couples sharing?
Food was average. Could usually find something to eat but repetitive. It improved greatly at weekends when a lot of Spanish came for weekend breaks.
Overall if these points could be addressed it would be a lovely hotel to stay in. Be aware that during our stay of 3 weeks there were very few English people staying. It was mainly German.French. Belgian . This gave a cosmopolitan feel to the hotel.
There is a hill to the entrance which some people found to be a problem especially when dropped off at bottom with cases on arrival.

Hi Lin, Thank you for sharing your review. First of all, we are very happy to know how comfortable you felt during your stay thanks to our friendly staff and to the efficient work done by our cleaning service. Also, it is great to read that you were happy with our modern rooms and with the kettle that we provided you as you requested on your booking. However, we regret that we did not match your expectations in some aspects. In relation to the lack of curtains, we regret that our blinds were not suitable for you this time. We will take your advice into account for future improvements at the hotel. Regarding to our sunbed area, we are sorry that it was not big enough for you and that you did not feel comfortable with our fixed sun beds, as before, it will be taken into consideration for future refurbishments. Speaking about the new bathrooms, we would like to mention that our truly intention was to make them more comfortable for our guests. However, we regret that it did not match your expectations. Related to our restaurant service, the reason why we try to reinforce our buffet on the weekends is due to the increasing of guests coming, it does not matter if they come from Spain or other different country. As you mention, it gives a cosmopolitan atmosphere to our hotel which is something that we really love. Lastly, we would like to remind to our clients that there is another entrance to the hotel by the bar area which avoids the hill and offers and easier access to the hotel if you are coming from the beach. Kind regards, Juan B – Guest Relations – Kaktus Hotels

I’m rating this stay as very good mainly because of the view from the room (703 which we paid extra for) The rooms in general are lovely and the showers are the best in Benidorm. The cleaning staff are brilliant and hotel is very clean and well presented.
However things could be so much better very easily. As an example I messaged the hotel before arrival explaining it was our 25th Wedding anniversary and asked about extending our check out on the last day as we didn’t fly until 11pm that night. We had a reply saying we would have to ask the receptionist on our penultimate day about this. We did and they gave us an hour extra. I suppose it was something but a room to get a shower, changed and freshen up in for an hour would have been much better. This was never offered. Our 25th Wedding Anniversary wasn’t acknowledged at all from our first contact with the hotel via booking.com to us leaving after 5 days stay. A card with happy anniversary or a complimentary drink on arrival would have gone a long way to making us feel more welcome on our special trip. Such a shame really, as I said things could very easily and cheaply be better for an all round experience.
Another example was we asked for extra towels to use the pool. This was refused so if you don’t take towels with you, you can’t use the pool? This was not explained to us at the booking stage, again this is easily corrected for a better experience.
A Kettle in the room is required, most people want a brew when they wake up. Again a very easy cheap fix to enhance the experience.
Breakfast- Don’t bother, get breakfast elsewhere it’s simply not worth the money. I’m not a fussy eater but the bacon, beans, tomatoes and sausage are of cheap quality with no taste. The eggs however are very good. So if you like egg on toast or square ham and cheese on a roll go for it. If you want a full English save the money at the booking stage and find a nice cafe to have a better breakfast in. It’s not like there’s no choice it’s Benidorm after all.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, would we stay again? Probably (room only) at the right price, but we’d bring a travel kettle some towels and not expect too much in the way of hospitality.

Hi Andrew, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. First of all, we are very sorry that we did not congratulate you for your 25th Wedding Anniversary during you stay. Although it is too late now, please accept our congratulation now, we wish that you keep celebrating it for many years more. We are happy to know that you enjoyed your stay and the fantastic views that our hotel offers to Benidorm and its beach. Besides, we are happy that you mention the good work by our cleaning team, as always very important for us. Regarding what you mention about the late check out. We offers complimentary late check out (subject to availability) when guests book directly through us. As it was not your case, our rate for those who request late check out is 30€. However, we regret that we did not consider your special situation and we did not make any exception for you this time. On the other hand, we are sorry too that we did not prepare anything special for you to congratulate your Anniversary and make you feel more welcome. We would like to let you know that we have discussed about it in our last meeting with the teem to find out where we have fail on you to apply the measures needed and make sure that this won´t happen anymore. Finally, we thank you for your suggestions on the possibility to have a kettle on the room or advising about the lack of a towels service and on your feedback about our breakfast service. Listening to our guests is very important so we will take your opinion into account to make sure that we keep improving our hotel. Please feel free to come back to Hotel Benikaktus whenever you wish. Kind regards, Juan B - Guest Relations - Kaktus Hotels

Good location on the edge of the main strip of the beach. Parking is tight and costs 10 euros a day!! Bar area is a little flat and today we asked if they would show rugby on their TV, answer was NO we have football!! Not very customer focused I thought as we would have eaten in the restaurant also. Oh well we will go out instead. The reception is dull and not somewhere you would want to sit. The room has a great view of the sea and beach in all rooms. The beds are hard but ok. The shower is great!! There is NO kettle, tea or coffee. If you ask you might get a kettle. Hairdryer is provided and generic shampoo/ body wash in shower room. USB sockets are provided and a tv which in terms of English only gets news. Reception and cleaning staff are helpful and nice but not so much Mr misery guts who is behind the bar tonight on the 12/3. Breakfast 6 euros and main meal/lunch 12 euros each. Free WiFi.

Hi Linda, Thank you for sharing your feedback, it is very important for us. We are happy to read that you enjoyed our great location on the beachfront. Besides, reading that thanks to the attention offered by our staff team we made your stay even better makes us very happy. However, we regret that we could not show the rugby game on TV as we had other guests watching football. Our intention is to please everyone but sometimes it is difficult thanks to the wide variety of people that visit us. On the other hand, we regret that the comfort of our beds did not meet your needs and that our reception was not welcoming for you. Listening to our guests is very important so we will take your opinion into account to make sure that we keep improving our hotel. Finally, we are sorry that the treatment offered by our staff at the bar during the night you mentioned was not appropriated for you, we will make sure that everyone in our team know how important is to make our guests feel at home during their stay. We hope to welcome you again in Hotel Benikaktus. Kind regards, Juan B - Guest Relations - Kaktus Hotels

Lovely hotel, very clean, great views, easy access to the sea and promenade, literally a minute away. We stayed on level 11 which was the highest, amazing views. Room was spacious, modern bathroom, dodgy bedspread but overall fab with a small fridge. Paid 15 euros for 7 days use of the safe. Wifi was good all in the hotel amd in the terrace while sunbathing. Be aware that the transfer bus will drop you about 1 min from the hotel with a slight walk up a hill to the hotel. Downfall is the food and entertainment. These two are fully catered towards the Spanish. The entertainment is a gentleman playing on a keyboard singing in Spanish every night. Locals come every night, they also came in the day time and used the pool and sunbeds. Food was limited unless you liked fish and pickled salad. Even if your fullboard you will have to pay for any drinks with your meal., it's cheaper to get a large bottle of water rather than 2 small 1s. I would stay here again but purely for its location. Mcdonalds, subway and burger king literally 2 mins from the hotel which was quick and convenient. Locally food cost around 30 euros for 2. I stayed in September and the terrace doesn't have sun until midday.

Over the years we have stayed in many hotels, from 2* to 5*+. The Kaktus Hotel Benikaktus is probably the best 3* we have stayed in.
We arrived in Benidorm with all the trepidation one could expect on a first visit to Spain's party town. The airport transfer coach driver dropped us off outside Burger King and pointed in the general direction of where we expected the hotel to be. After a walk up a short hill and a bit of orientation we finally found hotel reception, which was clean, tidy and welcoming. (Note mobility scooters struggle up these inclines as do less mobile guests.)
Our room was wonderful for the price. We had a sea view overlooking the whole Levante Bay. The twin beds were comfortable, the room and bathroom were spacious with the shower being extraordinarily powerful. The room was very clean. (Housekeeping maintained this standard throughout. E.g. tidied daily and we could have had fresh towels etc. everyday).
All public areas were also cleaned to the highest standards. The lifts whilst obviously old were extremely efficient.
The bar and terrace were well serviced and, in the main, they were kept clean and tidy. Note: the pool has some sort of jacuzzi function which is very noisy. On member of the bar team (tall, no name badge) seemed to have a downer on our small party of mixed Europeans and never once smiled at / with us. All other staff members, from reception, catering and maintenance, throughout the hotel were wonderful and a credit to the friendly Kaktus brand. Bar prices are similar to those out on the main streets.
Breakfast was superb. I would recommend partaking rather than going to the local bars for the fist meal of the day. We also had one evening meal in the hotel which was great value and better than many that we had out in local restaurants.
If we ever went back to Benidorm I would certainly book this reasonably quiet, modern hotel away from most of the noise but near enough to the action!

Only checked into this hotel yesterday.. but I can already tell you it’s by far the best I’ve stayed in in Benidorm . Yes the location is a bit out the way and there’s a very slight hill up to the main entrance . But everything else about the hotel is just perfect .
I’m only bed and breakfast so i haven’t tried the dinner or lunch options , however the breakfast was suffice and the coffee was lovely.
The room is absolutely amazing . I asked for the top floor which they accepted, all rooms have a sea view and the views are the best in Benidorm without a doubt . The room was spotless , cleaned daily by housekeeping who seem lovely and always gave a smile . The room has a fridge but no kettle , safe is only €3 a day and free aircon.

We had to cancel our original booking with the Melia Benidorm, they didn’t inform us but we fortunately heard from our family who had arrived before us that the indoor pool was closed. A potentially family disaster for 4 adults and 4 kids, because from arrival at reception our experience was all good. The reception staff are excellent, parking on this occasion was free, the hotel was very clean and the food was ok, but the best things for us were the views and the indoor pool which were fantastic, thank you very much👍

Just had a week's holiday in the Benikaktus Hotel with my wife. Lovely week relaxing, hotel staff very helpful and friendly, especially Izhar, one of the waiters. Food and drinks were good, good entertainment in the evenings and a fairly peaceful location with steps access to the beach. Couldn't really fault the hotel and we have booked to go back in September

What a lovely hotel with wonderful sea views. Lovely modern rooms with a comfortable bed. Whole of the hotel was very clean. Staff are very nice and the food is really good with a huge choice with house wine in the restaurant for 6.50 euro such good value. Very nice pool and jacuzzi with direct access to the beach. Gustavo in the bar makes a fabulous margarita. In our opinion a Magnifying pull out mirror in bathroom would be great for us ladies and a rack on the balcony for drying swimwear would make this hotel 11 out of 10. The evening meal time should be earlier than 20.00 as you can't get to earlier shows on time. We loved our stay though and will definitely be going back there

We booked a twin sea view room on the 10th floor which was lovely and spacious with amazing views over the bay and had the most comfortable beds!
We only had breakfast which was quite basic but the drinks at the bar were reasonably priced and the bar staff friendly.
As we had bad weather for the first few days we extended our stay and the hotel changed us to economy rooms. Still a partial seaview and quite spacious, lots of noise from neighbouring rooms, very hot and the double bed was really hard and uncomfortable. I would not recommend booking these rooms.
Good free WiFi in the hotel. Would definitely return

Yes it does....
No you can't. You take your own.
Yes they do - cracking views of the seafront
Pretty steep! If you go into the pool entrance to the right hand side, you can bypass a lot of this.
It accepted cash when we were there.
