Bed had a hard memory foam mattress which took a while to get used to.
Television was on the wall with an uncomfortable sofa bed to sit on and couldn't be seen in bed. WIFI was fast, but had to reconnect on your return if you went out.
We did hear the noise from the nightclub on Sat night, but it wasn't enough to disturb sleep. I believe this is dependent on your room location as some rooms are closer to the club than others.
Breakfast was very good buffet style with lots of options hot and cold choices, fruit, yoghurt, cooked English breakfast, toast even chips!
Evening meal options were good, but sometimes repeated. Food was not always as hot as it should be and sometimes undercooked depending upon the chef on duty.
Restaurant staff excellent, polite and knowledgeable.
Cleaning staff very good . Rooms cleaned daily and to an excellent standard.
Reception staff very good and pool bar staff too. Pool wasn't used as too cold, but sunbeds used and artificial grass by pool was a good idea.
All in all a great hotel in a good location.
Our room on the 5th floor had a lovely balcony with sea view. Good size walk in shower and very comfortable beds. As the hotel has only about 100 rooms it was always easy to find a table in the restaurant. Tables were cleaned very quickly and the variety of food was good. There was always a choice of meats and fish along with other dishes.
We stayed at the hotel for nearly 3 weeks and during this period the food was good. Only negative was the bacon at breakfast which was always over cooked.
The outside pool area is spacious with additional sunbathing area on the 1st floor.
There was never a problem on getting a sun bed.
We found all the staff were exceptionally friendly and could not fault the service we got.
The hotel is spotless clean with contemporary design and a touch of class.
The rooms have huge beds, great bathrooms with jacuzzi style baths and walk in shower.
As with all buffet style dining rooms the food can feel a little “samey” but we always found something tasty to eat.
The only reason I didn’t give the hotel a 5 rating was due to the noise that permeates through the rooms. You can hear every footstep, door and elevator movement, and on a low floor lots of street noise and music.
But hey, it’s Benidorm, nobody comes for silence.
Went here for New Year and the hotel put on a meal with entertainment and a free bar till 4am, we weren’t expecting this so was a great surprise.
You get 15% off drinks at the bar that’s joined onto the hotel if you load money onto your room key card, we only found this out a few days before coming home, that’s probably a small negative is that your not told anything at check in, we thought there would be info in the room but there wasn’t, you need to get the wifi at check in also.
The other small minus for me was the breakfast wasn’t great, there was loads of variety so I’m sure you’d always found something to eat, but I found the cooked breakfast wasn’t great, we ate out most days as it’s so cheap.
Didnt use the pool as it was too cold but didn’t expect anything else in December, would defo stay again and recommend the hotel.
Previous ratings sited average food and noise issues.
The hotel and tour operators have ignored customer feedback.
The food offering gave reasonable variety but overall the food tasted BLAND.
The night club situated in the basement on Calle Gerona was noisy due to doors left open. On Friday 24/Sat 25 the club finished at 06.00. We requested a quiet room (5th floor directly above night club) and we could hear the noise faintly...for us not a big problem, but those below had my sympathy.
The staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel had a good refurb 2019.
I place the all the blame on the hotel management and Jet 2 for not addressing
customer concerns
Before arriving at this hitel I emailed requesting a room on a high floor as I had heard the lower levels could be noisy. The hotel did not reply to 2 emails and did not accommodate this request. On arrival we requested this and just got 'no chance'.
The hotel itself was modern and clean.
The rooms were very nice apart from lack of facilities. Never stayed in a 4 star rated hotel before that hasn't had a kettle/drink facilities.
Room was noisy due to the pub underneath and therefore could not have door open in an evening when sleeping.
Bathroom was well presented however the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor which made it very slippery. Also mould was present along the bottom of the shower door.
Food in the restaurant for breakfast was lovely. Shame that the evening meal wasn't good. Not many options to choose from. Also charge made for water in restaurant. Ate out 4 out of 7 nights.
Also breakfast was served from 8am which meant due to having an early morning start at 7.40am we was unable to eat breakfast before leaving. Previous 4 star hotels have put a few items of cold foot on before leaving.
We also found out on the last day we could have hired a a kettle from reception for our duration with a refundable deposit!!! This could be advised on check in otherwise how would people know.
In my own personal opinion upgrade to kettles permanently in rooms. Offer more choices of food and do not charge for water.
Not massive issues but been in 4 star hotels with all these included. More of a 3 star not 4 but overall had an enjoyable holiday 😀
