I stayed at Princesa 28th December - 4th January. 2 days before we were due to fly home done Covid test came back positive on me. My family had to leave I was all alone and frightened. I will never forget the Princesa kindness reception, staff kitchen, restaurant, house keeping and bar staff. They looked after me as if I were family Natalie, Andrea,Laura, and Juan phoned me daily. We will be back this new year 2022.
I had the pleasure and privilege of staying in this lovely hotel for the period 22 November 2021 to 20 December 2021, a stay of 28 nights, travelling as a solo traveller. I did not arrive at the hotel until 10.30 p.m. but was checked in at Reception courteously and efficiently. My reservation was on a full board basis but in view of the fact that I had missed dinner in the restaurant I was given a bag containing various cold food items as well as a bottle of water. The gentleman on Reception also gave me my room card, the code for the free wi-fi and (upon payment of a refundable 10 euro deposit) the key for the safe. The room which I was allocated was a corner room on the fifth floor with a corner balcony offering a view over the swimming pool area. It was spacious and well appointed with everything required for a comfortable stay including two single beds, a desk, a refrigerator, a wall mounted television, an office chair and also a large comfortable chair, a set of drawers, a bedside table, a small coffee table and a sufficient number of lamps and wall lights. There was also a large fitted wardrobe with shelves and about a dozen coat hangers! The key operated safe was also situated inside the wardrobe. There were no coffee and tea making facilities provided in the room although I was given to understand that a kettle would be provided on request. However in view of the fact that I always take a travel kettle with me it was not necessary to request one! The free wi-fi worked perfectly in my room and I was able to connect three devices without any problems at all! The bathroom was also of a good size and again was well equipped with a bath, an over bath shower, toilet, bidet and vanity sink. There was a seemingly unlimited amount of hot water available and the water pressure of the shower was the best I have ever encountered! The corner balcony was spacious and furnished with a plastic table and two plastic chairs. The variety and quality of most of the food served in the restaurant ranged from good to excellent. I especially liked the omelettes which were freshly made on request at breakfast. The only negative aspect of the breakfast buffet for me was that the orange juice dispensed from the machine was really awful ( I couldn't actually discern exactly what it tasted of but it certainly wasn't orange!) . Conversely I found the coffee dispensed from the hot drinks machine to be very good! The lunch and dinner buffets also provided an excellent choice of both hot and cold items and all items were regularly replenished when required. As is the case with most buffets some of the items were not as hot as they could be especially the cooked pasta and pasta sauces but this was rectified by placing the dish in the microwave oven which was available in the restaurant! The range of desserts on the buffets was a little disappointing with many of the dessert items containing the ubiquitous artificial "cream". However the soups, salads and main courses were generally excellent! Another very welcome feature of the hotel is that free wine and water is provided with meals to guests over 60 years of age! The most positive aspect of my stay was that without exception every member of staff with whom I came in to contact was courteous, welcoming, helpful and pleasant! The members of the Reception team answered questions and solved minor problems without hesitation and with good humour, the ladies who serviced my room did an excellent job every day and always greeted me when I saw them and the personnel working in the restaurant were hard working, efficient and welcoming! They are all a credit to the hotel and I would like to convey my thanks to every one of them! One negative item to point out is that the area of land immediately adjacent to the hotel is at present a construction site where I believe a new hotel is being constructed. The building work commenced promptly at 8 o'clock every morning except on Sundays with the resultant sounds of banging, sawing, drilling, loading and unloading, hammering, shouting etc. and usually lasted throughout the day until about 5.00 p.m.! The construction work did not have too much of an impact on my stay as at this time of the year I did not envisage lying beside the swimming pool all day! If I did sit out on the balcony in the afternoon I mitigated the problem by putting in my earphones and listening to music in order to drown out the noise! I know that this construction work is not permanent but if I was to stay at this hotel again I would endeavour to ascertain when it will be completed before making a booking! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and if I make a future visit to Benidorm I would have no hesitation in making the RH Princesa my hotel of choice!…
Arrived at this hotel and feel the need to warn people of our disappointment, we wanted to upgrade to all inc, and this was possible at €50 per room per day, however on top of this we have been told we would need to pay €168 per person for dinner on NY eve 🙁 Every other hotel we have stayed in at Benidorm make all guest welcome to the New year dinner NOT THIS ONE Very dissatisfied 😠
We have recently returned (7 December 2021) from a two week holiday having previously stayed here three years ago. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and will do everything to ensure that the guests' needs are met. Bedroom facilities are perfect with even a safe to ensure that all possessions are protected. Buffet meals are provided to cater for all tastes and are ever changing at each sitting. This is the hotel to choose in Benidorm which is close to all amenities and provides an excellent holiday at an affordable price.
Great hotel with friendly staff. The food was beautiful every day and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of entertainment for the kids and the adults at night. The rooms are really nice clean.
