Apartamentos Luxmar is often regarded as a cost-effective accommodation choice, although opinions on its value for money vary, with some concerns over cleanliness and unexpected additional costs. Despite some guests commending the staff's friendliness, the service is reported to be hit-or-miss, with occasional lapses in room upkeep.
The hotel's amenities and rooms are considered basic and outdated, with a noted need for refurbishment and more consistent cleanliness. However, its excellent location near the beach and nightlife is a highlight for many visitors, as is the laid-back atmosphere, despite criticism of the worn decor.

Hotel doesn’t advertise that you have to pay a deposit of €50 per person per night. It is located within walking distance from most things but honestly unless you’re on a hen do and really don’t care where you sleep i would avoid. They put three people to a room but only have two beds. Makeup on the wall in the bedroom. No cleaner or maid service they only change the towels every four days and sheets once a week. You have to take your own rubbish out to the street bins or you will be fined €50.00.

Just returned from the Luxmar Apartments.
I Had real reservations after reading the reviews but on arrival was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very basic and could do with re decoration but for what you pay to stay here what do you expect.
Great location £50 deposit refunded on checkout without issue.

Well what can I say to this very very basic does need some upgrading and fast the rooms were not up to much.
Holes in bedding, glass down cracked, bathroom door rotten, bath black and radiators rusty.
Pool didn’t get sun on until after 3/4 pm all 1 depth.
Great location easy to find but won’t stay again.
€50 per person deposit for and breakages you also make sure you don’t leave any rubbish always pay cash because apparently you don’t get your money back on card

Party of eight lasses 😬 we had Two rooms four in each on our arrival, we were told checking in we had to pay 200 euros deposit for each room that we thought was a lot but thought we’ll we have to pay anyway. We got to our rooms, first thought was they are basic but then got this awful smell. We didn’t know what it was at first but after a look around we noticed hardened vomit on my bed frame and under the mattress. Disgusting!! 🤮 we reported straight away at reception the man at desk wrote our room number in a book. This was Friday 9th September it still was not removed when we left on the Monday 🤦🏻♀️ You don’t expect much with a budget hotel such as this one but the hardened sick is vile!! Also no kettle! the pool area would benefit maintenance! the tiles on inside pool is green, sun beds beds very little some broken also be aware the reception locks up at 12 so please never leave your key or you will be out your room till next morning. Never will we stay here again absolutely disgusting, 🤢

You get what you pay for. A very low cost hotel to sleep. Only single beds. No walk in showers. The phone to call reception did not work,so if you needed to speak to reception you would have to get the lift down. NO HEATING, The staff said that the heating for the hotel comes on at 6pm and goes off at 12pm. RUBBISH, it think that's what the hotel tell the staff to say. The rooms had no heating so we decided to leave the rings on the cooker switched on 24/7. That took the chill off the rooms. Pretty spacious. Kitchen, tv with table and chairs, separate bedroom and toilet. The staff ( Susi ) was who we dealt with was extremely helpful. We asked in advance for a room with a mountain view and she gave us our pick of 4 rooms when we arrived. The kitchen was small with only 1 plug which was used for the kettle and the toaster and the microwave. There was also a fridge with a small freezer compartment. The room we stayed in was cleanish but not spectacular.
We did not venture into the outdoor pool, neither did we use the lounge or the bar.
We were not bothered with any noise even though it has a reputation for hosting stags and hens. It was located a distance from the beach and the main strip but had it's a restaurant and limited shops nearby. The market which opens twice a week was only a short walk away.
All in all if you want a cheap holiday with somewhere to sleep then yes, but if you want a hotel with entertainment and close to the action then keep looking and spend a little bit more money.

On arrival, the apartment was very cold due to only 2 radiators working. To keep the apartment at a reasonable heat had to borrow a electric heater. After 2 days they came and bled the non working radiators which added a little heat.
The hot water boiler was small and only accommodated 1 shower. The room was really basic, providing no facilities to clean or dry pots. Found out that the heating only came on if the temp dropped below 10 degrees. When asking the receptionist for our money tobe returned so we could go somewhere else they told us it was our booking agents responsibility. We are now home and waiting a response from them.
As a review if you're wanting a basic, no frills, cheap apartment with limited facilities this is ideal.

I have just come back from staying in Luxmar apartments with another 11 ladies for my hen do. When we arrived at the apartments we had to pay a €50 deposit each which is understable when staying in a hen and stag hotel. The two lovely ladies behind the reception even let us check in earlier and put our rooms on the same floor as well. We also asked for a lower floor apartment which they provided. We got to the room and it does have basic decoration, but the apartment is clean, the beds and seatees are comfy and the balconies are a great size too. The bar staff was friendly and had jokes with us girls as well as other residents throughout. After every night out we was around the pool or jumping in the pool to finish our night off and no one complained. We had a leak in the bathroom ceiling as there is no one on reception after midnight we reported the problem and spoke to the apartment owner to sort the issue. Overall we had a good stay a 10/15 min from the main strip. I feel like it gets a bad name on the reviews this hotel but they even let us keep our room on for €30 as well. For a long weekend away this is perfect for what you need.

We stayed 3 nights October 2024. 2 of us sharing a studio.
As others have previously commented I wouldn't choose this for a main family holiday however they are perfectly suitable for either groups on birthdays, hens etc or even people who aren't too fussy.
It's quite interesting as I've just read one review giving it zero and I've read others giving it all the stars so what I would say is people's perceptions are so different.
Let me start by explaining we do stay in nice places we even have a David Lloyd gym membership back in the UK so yes you would expect our standards to be high however this is BENIDORM not Paris and your paying peanuts so expectations need to be lower. I have to say I quite liked the "70s quirky vibe to it" and some of the guest reviews are examining the rooms like they were conducting a hotel inspection!
Our room was clean and had all the basics required. Unlike other reviewers I don't start taking photos of missing tiles and dated furniture as that is not important to me, the complex is clearly an old one however has lots of positives.
It's in a good walking location for all the bars and cafes and strip, the balcony is huge! You could easily have all your friends round for drinks before you go out. There is a bar at the hotel which is OK. The female with blonde hair and glasses who served us regularly is very friendly and approachable.
Nice they have a basket near reception area with sun creams people left so this saved us money.
Negatives are we had to stump up 50 euros each as deposit in case of any damage or loss of keys which for some of the group meant their whole spending money 💰 whilst I understand why they do this it could be per room rather than per person.
Noise, I could hear next door alarm clock and his snoring! Walls are very thin. Kettle didn't turn off so we just waited and guessed when done. Beds are OK not particularly comfy but passable for a sleep. No fresh towel in a 4 day stay. No extra toilet roll you have to buy that also, no soap or shower gel so you do need to ensure you pack some bits or buy them when you get here. Also quite a bit of shade sitting outside due to all high rises around so one day we sat drinking outside thinking it was cold and damp and once we walked to beach we had sunshine so I guess due to positioning of the hotel it's not a good sun trap.
All in all would recommend as a budget price 2 star type stay especially if your here for parties as it won't bother you about the noise.

We came here as a group of 11 friends split between 3 rooms for 4 nights. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Reception, bar area and restaurant were clean and tidy however there are much better options off site very close by. Ok to use if you are by the pool for a couple of hours. The rooms were extremely basic, very dated but clean. Fresh towels pillows and sheets were provided on arrival. Don’t expect luxury these rooms are literally somewhere to sleep. Very spacious balcony but pot luck what your view will be depending on which side you’re on. It is a great location, 10/15 minute walk to beach and all the town bars and clubs. You get what you pay for and if you want cheap basic apartment then this is it. I would stay again if I wanted a really cheap holiday. Be prepared to pay 50 Euro deposit per person on arrival which you get back on checkout provided you clear away all your rubbish and leave it the way you found it. Overall pretty good for the price. 👍

Just got back from a hen do at luxmar.
Very honest review from a group of girls, I think the 2 star for this place is pretty accurate. You definitely get what you pay for here, we had 2 apartments on the first floor, both apartments were very dated and tatty, doors in kitchen were hanging off, very run down. Our apartment firstly was the better of the 2 apart from the balcony door not locking, it was cleanish, pillows and bedding did have odd mark on but room was a good size. No air con in either rooms. The other apartment was worse, was blood on the sink, mould in a lot of the areas. People saying what do you expect for price and 2 star but any accommodation you stay in should have a level of cleanliness and hygiene, doesn’t matter to use with the dated decor and it looking old as long as it’s clean. As for the rest of the hotel we didn’t see much, the pool area didn’t look great and we didn’t risk going in the pool and it looked grubby, very minimal staff. The reception closed over night. Hotel was full of stag and hen groups which was fine to us but was noisy, it’s questionable if I would stay here again personally maybe at a push for a hen do but definitely 100% not with children etc this is definitely not a family hotel. Our rooms weren’t cleaned at all whilst we stayed, We never actually saw a cleaner the whole time we were here and had to ask for extra towels etc. Definitely get extra toilet rolls as we had to ask one evening and they wanted to charge €1 per roll. It’s €50 deposit pp on arrival cash only, which I think was expensive as it’s to cover damages , I think maybe if they are charging that for a deposit each they need to make sure things aren’t damaged in the first place.
The worst part was one of the members of staff on reception I think his name was Antonio, very rude, obnoxious and miserable, we saw a couple of altercations with other people that made us feel very uncomfortable. The other lady (not sure her name) was pleasant enough. Overall not a great hotel, location is ok 10 mins to beach and same to strip. We are a very laid back group of girls and not much bothers us, quite easily pleased so we aren’t too fussy but if you can stretch to a little more money definitely give this one a miss and stay somewhere better.

No there isn’t any air con
When we was there it was per room
Dawn - If the truth be told, they’ve only just discussed electricity there! To say it’s dated, doesn’t do it justice - Definitely bring one. And some disinfectant!
