Situated in a location praised for its proximity to beaches and scenic views, Gran Hotel Bali offers a mixed experience according to guest feedback. While the spacious pools and vistas receive recognition, several visitors express dissatisfaction with the outdated rooms and unexpected additional costs, diluting the perceived value of an all-inclusive stay.

Detailed Reviews
I originally booked the Cabana Hotel the other side of Benidorm town, however, we were changed to this hotel. First impressions were great. It's 186m high, has an outside lift that goes up to the 43rd floor in tower 2 and caters for thousands of guests.
Check in at reception was nice. Didn't have to wait too long, maybe 10 minutes during busy times, information for your stay was all placed into an envelope for you to keep.
We went up to our room and it was perfectly adequate for our stay. Temperature control, freebies in the bathroom (including a comb!), satellite TV, balcony with a view over the pool, VERY comfortable mattresses and fresh, clean linen.
Breakfast was good with a wide selection of food. They have disposable gloves and hand gel dotted around so it is very hygienic.
I did come across a piece of raw chicken by the poolside which was hilarious but I informed them right away and it was sorted. I assume that some children thought that a slab of chicken was the best thing in the world and wanted to play with it. However, the pool chemicals would have killed any germs, no problems there.
I did have an issue but I spoke with the hotel manager who was very apologetic and even offered us a free night stay to apologise. I have absolute confidence that the manager will improve anything that needs improving.
Tips:
1. At meal times, get the stairs down and the lift back. Yes you have to wait for the lifts (7 in tower 2) but if you hold down the button, you tend to get more lifts than just pressing it once. The breakfast is allocated timing, either 08:00am or 09:30am, choose what you wish.
2. The free wifi only works in public areas. If you want wifi in your bedroom, you will need to pay for it. It's only fair, it's what we do in the UK. Take it or leave it.
3. Enjoy yourself and relax...

We had read mixed reviews about the hotel before we stayed so were unsure what to expect. Overall our stay was good value for money. The hotel room was basic but clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Reception was often very busy and we found some inconsistencies in the a inclusive rules depending on the staff member who served us. The food was typically spanish, some good variety of foods but not good for fussy eaters. We found that the lunchtime rush was very busy so best to get there early. The pool area was lovely and clean with plenty of space and sunbeds but we were disappointed that the pools were not heated as we had a young child who could not use the facilities as it was just too cold. The location was fairly good with access to the beach and buses nearby so enough to entertain us for the few days we stayed. Not much in the way of entertainment for families especially younger children at this time of year. Would recommend the hotel for a few days away as a base location.

This hotel is situated in a pretty area of Benidorm named La Cala. The hotel staff were very good and pleasant. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and towels changed regularly. We were on an all inclusive package and had no complaints about the food which was quite varied. We found something tasty to eat at every meal time. The local alcoholic drinks are ok but if you prefer more branded drinks it would probably be beneficial to upgrade for the week rather than keep spending on a daily basis. The surrounding area was pretty quiet while we were there but we expected that.....we have also stayed here in June which was lovely and there was lots of bars and restaurants to choose from if required. The walk to the old town takes around twenty minutes and if you're feeling energetic you can stroll further along to the new town. The beach was a short stroll and was lovely. If you don't like to walk too much the bus service from the side of the hotel is very good and cheap. The downside to the hotel is the lifts. There are two separate buildings and we have stayed in both. There can sometimes be a wait for the lifts in the taller building so being on the lower floors is a bonus. We would definitely return to this lovely area of benidorm and the hotel.

This hotel maintains an excellent air of professionalism, with the reception staff always greeting guests with a warm friendly smile, and total efficiency even when under pressure from the high volume of guests who regularly attend in groups. The grand reception area is beautifully presented and a joy to the eye coupled regularly with the relaxing background of live piano music from an adjoining lounge. A special mention to the very efficient and friendly reception staff is well deserved, Anna, Sandra, Paco, Pilar, Rodrigo to name just a few. The delightful bar, cafeteria, has again an efficient team working at full capacity during the day acting as also the pool bar and in the evening's houses the delightful live Spanish music bar with live performances and of special interest to the Spanish guests having noticeably delightful evenings indulging in their Spanish dancing. There are on occasion evenings when a professional approach to policing is required in this location within the outside pool area from some younger guests who become a little overwhelming however this behavior is efficiently professionally and calmly dealt with. A special mention to this team is again well deserved for their friendly approach and always on hand to assist in whatever your needs are, Encarla, Sergio, Jimmy, Kevin, to name just a few. The English bar is another welcoming lounge bar and delivers a diverse music assortment which delights the English guests! The two large restaurants which cater for well in excess of 1000 guests serve the most diverse recipes and have numerous dishes to appeal to all and replenished regularly, this applies to breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the hygiene standard is excellent. The waiters and waitresses are run off their feet ! however, complete all three sittings with a smiling face and friendliness notwithstanding their very high workload, a very well done to Mahmood to name one of many. On the last note, the room cleaners compliment the hotel with their friendly efficiency and again are always willing to provide any additional bedding or towels if requested. There are small faults however none which are significantly worthy of mention and the poor reviews this hotel occasionally receives I personally believe are unjustified however everybody is entitled to their own personal opinions and expectancy. All in all, a very well done to all at the Gran Bali Hotel and credit where credit is due.

super huge hotel ,very efficient friendly staff .My wife and I were a/inc The hotel guests were 80% Spanish.who were not A/inc and of mature age .Those who paid cash for drinks were given preferencial service at the bar, which was irritating and could be confrontational .We were able to sunbath even in very early March...The Brits supplied the entertainment around the pool once the alcohol kicked in usually mid day.
We found our room uncomfortably warm in the evening, raised the issue at the front desk , the cool part of the a/c is controlled by Management ,and they decide when the room temp gets the cooling (..a bit subjective )
Cleanliness was a high priority throughout all public areas , and staff were constantly visable cleaning all surfaces.
Food...Buffet style..b/fast..lunch ..dinner.. all tastes catered for plenty of choice..
Dissapointed that the Evening dinner dress code was not implimented by the Management given the 4 star rating of this hotel.
Pleasant easy walk into the Old Town along the coastal Piatsa.30 min..50mins if you carry on into new Benidorm, or the local bus from the hotel 75 cents. 10/15 mins..

stayed in December , from outside looks great inside looks great,
checking was slow kept getting interrupted by the Spanish guests who seem to take preference over the rest. . rooms were nice with great views, food was below average drinks had minimal alcohol in. do not ask staff for help as they pretend they cannot speak English or they are to busy to listen. hotel is on the outskirts of beni , so you will need buses or a taxi. Good for people who do not have any expectations we got a great deal so that was a plus .

We are from the UK and we stayed at the Gran Hotel Bali for 1 week from Jan 4th 2020. I’m going to be totally honest with my review as I think it’s important for other travellers.
Ok here we go, the hotel is big, modern, immaculately clean and has everything you would want from a 4* hotel, and ALL the staff spoke very good English and were very helpful. Yes the hotel was 90% Spanish (because we are in Spain and to be expected, and we found all of them fine happy people)
Check in was swift, rooms were immaculately cleaned everyday. The downside was that there was no wifi or tea and coffee making facilities. TV has English channels including sky sports. Great Views.
The food was ok, bit boring and I didn’t see any Spanish dishes, but everything was fresh, especially salad bar, and there was a full English breakfast everyday. But I wouldn’t say it was 4* dinning, just standard buffet style food you get in any standard hotel.
Bars were all good and staff were friendly, but we were not all inclusive, and you tend to get a better drinks when your not all inclusive, and coffees are from a different machine.
Location was great for us as we didn’t want to be in the centre of Benidorm, in fact I don’t think it is in Benidorm its in Finstrat. The bus stops right outside and it costs 1.50 euro to Benidorm Lavante or Old Town, bus number 2 or 3.
Down side is you have to pay for a safe key, no wifi and no tea and coffee in room. Also I personally would not go all inclusive but that’s me, and if your looking to be in the centre of things in Benidorm its not the place.
All in all it was a good stay and we may return if we come back to Benidorm. You just have to remember you pay for what you get. It very reasonably priced for a reason. The picture was taken from our room, Rainbow over Benidorm Room 1715 19th Floor

An absolutely fabulous hotel. We stayed in a great room on the 39th floor, everything in the room was beautifully presented, our cleaner/domestic Fanny kept the room perfectly clean. Although the dining room could take over a thousand people, the staff were attentive and professional, the food was beyond belief, there was alway food that even the fussiest person could find plenty to eat. The sitting area were perfectly clean and well appointed. We rate this hotel as one of the best we have visited, we will be back.

Please ignore negative reviews, I've just returned home from a 4 day All-Inclusive break and the only thing I could possibly say was a gripe was one or two of the bar staff were dour faced with a grumpy attitude towards AI guests, other than that the hotel was spot on.
Check in was quick the receptionist was fluent in English she also wrote down the WiFi code when we asked about it, she then directed to our room on the 9th floor of the small building, no issues with the lifts in the 4 days we were there.
The food at breakfast hit the spot and plentiful, never had any issues with it being cold, the same with lunch, yet again plenty of choices even for fussy eaters, dinner again no issues and the staff filled our glasses up as soon as they were empty, again a good selection to chose from and no issue with it being cold.
Different entertain every night in both lounges, the 'Kenny Rodgers' tribute act was top dollar overall an enjoyable 4 days spent in the Gran Bali.

+1
We visited for Christmas and new year and it was beautifully decorated, even being in the second building we were on the 11th floor so if you’re not good with heights perhaps this isn’t the hotel for you!
The space was great, lovely tidy rooms with a great clean bathroom and very comfortable beds with the options of extra thick blankets over the winter. They made sure there was a variety of food during meal times so there was always something enjoyable to eat for anyone’s tastes plus vegetarian and gluten free options.
There was a live show on every night in either bar, though it would be best to go early as it did get very busy in the evenings especially during dinner service. Sometimes finding a table would be difficult but otherwise there was no other issues. The staff were always working hard, including the cleaners and the bar staff. All in all it was a very enjoyable holiday and there was a taxi rank and a bus stop right outside so there was also great transport links for seeing Benidorm.
