Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.

The location of the apartment hotel is awesome, right next to the San Miguel Market and Plaza Mayor. The apartment was clean and spacious, with AC fully needed during the Madrid summer. The only issue is in case you need to check in after hours, because the reception closes; we didn't know and we were minutes away from missing the front desk lady, she was really nice and waited for us.

We stayed in the Dali apartment which was very spacious, clean and modern. Because it overlooked the inner courtyard it was very quiet for a city centre. The location is fantastic and you can walk to most attractions. There is also a great restaurant opposite the entrance.

Apartment walking distance to major sights like plaza mayor, almudena cathedral & royal palace. Metro is 6 min away & convenient when we headed to retiro park. A lot of food stores & supermarkets nearby. Apartment was ok for our family of four. They even gave us a grocery basket when we arrived. Nespresso machine in the unit which was great for us!

These apartments are well situated in the centre of Madrid, most of the attractions were within walking distance. Check-in was quick and easy the desk staff were very friendly and attentive. Our apartment was on the second floor and facing the Plaza. The apartment was larger than expected and well equiped to eat in if you wish. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend and return.

We stayed in the Palacio with 3 of our children and we enjoyed the big apartment, although 3 rooms were probably a bit too many for us (our 3 kids are younger than 3 years old but they only allowed us to book a big apartment). We didn't use the kitchen but it is very well equipped. The location is the best part though!
