We, a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers, arrived on December 21st at around 11 am in the morning and found our rooms already ready, which was nice. The Hotel is situated in an ideal location, with a lot of very nice restaurants within a ten minute walk. Prado and Thyssen Musea are a 25 minute walk. Especially loved the Pool and the steam area. I think the nicest part was that it wasn't crowded and the location is just off the busy streets. The lounge area, the antique elevator and the overall decoration give the hotel a very pleasant feel. Not to forget the nice people throughout the hotel. Definitely will recommend!

We stayed in the "family room" which was actually a wonderful two bedroom suite with a hall in between so we could close (and lock) doors for privacy if we wished. Two comfortable marble bathrooms, two sitting areas, great views over the city, large comfortable beds, plenty of light, espresso machine, bottled water, turndown service, no street noise, heated towels... everything was perfect! The location is wonderful as it's right in the hip Chueca area with loads of bars, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We were able to do almost everything we wanted to do in Madrid on foot! The breakfast was just amazingWonderful pastries, ballots ham and top quality smoked salmon (much better than the usual breakfast smoked salmon or ham). The poached eggs with truffle oil and sea salt are to die for. Also the berries and roses cocktail in the bar area is wonderful.

We only stayed one night, but wished we had a week. The lobby is understated elegance and also the area where delicious tapas and drink are served. This was a good dinner alternative for us, as we wanted to get up early for a flight to the US. Our third floor room was spotless and very well appointed with all we needed, bottled water and a small treat left for us. Bedding and mattress perfect for us. The vegetable stew for lunch was not to be missed, and our included breakfast buffet was served in another amazing room with a unique staircase. Every staff member was helpful and willing to listen to our poor Spanish or converse in English. A shout- out to Juan Carlos at the door, aka Ray the Superman/King. The hotel also thoughtfully arranged an appointment at a great clinic within walking distance for a return to US Covid test.
