We stayed three nights, it in a great location, walking distance to all main areas. Room was a good size, a little quirky, certainly not you run of the mill cookie cutter hotel room. Lighting was a bit odd could not work out how to turn on bathroom light without turning on all lights. Breakfast was good, reception staff very... More

Really nice and good 4 stars hotel on Gran Via, Madrid Main Street. Really higher building with 10 floors. You will really appreciate the roof top with their cocktails and finger foods. I just missed a pool :) Anyway breakfast was late and good ;) Hope you will enjoy it;)

When checking in we asked about the SPA and we were told that the service is available. We booked a time for two massages to be done simultaneously for me and my girlfriend. A confirmation was given for the time and place of the massages. Upon arrival we were shocked that the SPA was actually closed and turned into a... More

The rooms were fine but each of the five couples had problems with poorly maintenance eg faults with hairdryer safes etc. The room for our disabled friend had several problems, the most serious was the loose grab-rail over the bath. The faulty air con and safe were reported, fixed and broke down again twice. The hotel is in a great... More

The Hotel was generally ok, with a good rooftop terrace, but the aircon in my room hardly worked and after complaining was not rectified or a solution given. Bar was understaffed and beers warm. English is not widely spoken so communication levels are very difficult.

I booked this hotel last minute and stayed for 4 nights. It is a lovely hotel! Very clean, and in a good spot! 5min walking distance to plaza de espana and 10min walk to the Palace and Cathedral Almudena The service was great and the hotel has a rooftop bar which was also quite nice! I would definitely recommend it!

Me and my uncle were surprised that the hotel charged us with 1 extra breakfast when infact we booked the room good for two inclusive of breakfast! It's as if we were robbed and cheated by this hotel. Horrible horrible experience!

The hotel is really fancy with modern furniture and movie themes all around, the decor is nice with a nice rooftop terrace and nice stairs. Highly recommended. I will rebook it for my next trip to Madrid.

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
