We have been here once before, and we did not regret coming back. Huge appartement with fully equipped kitchen. We had dinner here for four people. Quiet area. Funny breakfast, some was in the fridge and bread was delivered every morning. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed for 4 nights and felt like home. If you want to stay in Madrid,...

This is my favorite place to stay in Madrid (as long as they keep the honest prices). The location is amazing (not in the crowded downtown) but in a very classy neighborhood with the Metro station very close. Also very close to the Retiro Park so I went every day for a run to this cool park. The breakfast is...

I stayed here for 1 month while in Madrid for work. It is located in a quiet neighborhood in Madrid but its a very nice part of the city - as a local Spaniard told me "its the posh part of town". If you are looking for a place that is right in the middle of hustle and bustle or...

I stayed there with my wife and kid. The apartment is very family friendly, right from the I equipped kitchen, utensils, dishwasher, washer & dryer. Almost all family needs are satisfied. You also have some snacks stuffed in the kitchen sufficient to have bites now and then...don't misunderstand with buffet breakfast. Cleanliness in and out is good and the staff...

We've just spent a 3 night stay in the Atico or penthouse apartment. We booked the upgrade and communicated with the hotel prior to our stay using whatsapp, which was fantastic. The hotel staff arranged for us to have a cot, baby bath and high chair for our 11 month old, as well as car transfers with a baby seat....

The staff are very helpful. The place is spacious and the location is safe and quiet. It is close to the grocery store for refreshment. We did not cook much as we enjoy the restaurants in Madrid. But we did have lunch at the apartment. The lay out of the apartment is great and very comfortable. I would recommend this...

These apartments are in the pretty neighbourhood of Salamanca. They are fully furnished and equipped, and would be excellent if it wasn't for the patchy internet and unpredictable water temperature, which goes from cold to hot at random. Other than that, desk staff are really nice, and the rooms are very quiet, so you won't have any trouble sleeping

I've been a regular visitor to Madrid so this time opted for the more quieter, suburban feel of the Salamanca district. It's still close to the more main drag of Principe de Vergara, but you would need to Metro into the obvious touristy places like Sol or the museum district. So perhaps not one for first-timers. If you like the...

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
