We sadly had to cancel our trip due to COVID-19. Javier was so understanding and full refund provided with no issues. Thank you again. This is not true for other accommodation booked in other Spanish cities.
Stayed here with my wife. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English, thankfully. The big double bed was really comfortable. The room was great and bigger than I had expected (we had a free upgrade for some reason). There was a kettle! Watch out for the steep stairs up to the bedroom though! Breakfast was good (very little choice for vegans though), but even better was eating out at the indoor market which was a few minutes' walk away. There, the breakfast was superb! with an unbelieveable choice from different food stalls and a central, shared, eating area. You could walk to most of the attractions from the hotel (we didn't use the underground once). Would definitely go back there again. The only downsides were, some of our group found their room a bit noisy (street) and it was disappointing that 2 out of 6 safes were not working and required new batteries. I thought they could easily have checked that.…
Excellent location - just a few minutes walk from the opera house and in the middle of everything but on a quieter side street. Helpful and friendly staff; comfortable beds; spacious and well furnished room with interesting decor; great breakfast.
This was our third stay in Madrid, our second at Room Mate Laura. We were greeted warmly and received a lovely “welcome back” gift. That’s an example of the staff’s above and beyond service! We stayed in a loft suite which was perfect. Stylish, well appointed, and gave us lots of room to stretch out and relax. The location is also perfect, so many wonderful sites and restaurants a short walk away. We will definitely return to Room Mate Laura, you should stay there too!
We loved staying here... the hotel is really well located, staff is very friendly and helpful, and the suite is very spacious. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 are the toilet paper - it could be softer - and the bed. The mattress is really comfortable, but if you’re sleeping with a person who is big and heavy, it’s easy for you to feel every time they move... Since I am a light sleeper that was an issue... I definitely recommend staying here 🤩
