Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Husa Paseo del Arte. Stayed in a triple room which was big enough for the 3 of us to spread out all of our clothes, shoes etc. Hotel was excellent with a great selection of breads, fruit, cereal, cakes etc. for breakfast. The coffee was very good too. Had a room...

Just back from a 3 day stay. Was very impressed with the hotel and all Madrid had to offer. From the airport it took about 30 minutes on the Metro to the hotel. Checked in at noon with no problems at all. Booked holiday through Travel Republic and would definately use again. The hotel was modern and very clean, and...

Our room was 305, a small non-smoking room which overlooked a side street. We had no problems with noise. We arrived around 8:30 am and they were able to check us in immediately!! Quiet and clean with an excellent breakfast buffet that seems to cater to many nationalities. Only a few warm dishes but otherwise extensive. Location is close to...

The rooms were smart and clean. Good size bathroom although they forgot to leave fresh soap one day. Reasonable choice for breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated 3 to 10 minutes walk from the three main art museums, near Parque Retiro and close to Atocha railway station. Otherwise the area offers nothing exceptional. It takes three metro...

Stayed at this property recently, on a girls weekend away and was a bit disappointed. Overall it was OK, the rooms were fine, recently decorated and the reception area was modern , the overall effect however, was a cheap attempt to look modern/trendy. What I really wasn't happy about was the lack of friendliness and downright indifference of the staff....

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighborhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
