Nice, clean elegant hotel in a perfect location, so easy to take Madrid tour bus and across the street from train station. Definitely to recommend for a comfortable stay and delicious breakfast.

Location: close to Atocha subway and Atocha Renfe, walking distance to all the art museums and Retiro park, 20 min walk to Plaza Mayor etc Value: excellent value, but perhaps it's because we went in August, absolute bargain at EUR 65 a night for 2 ppl Rooms and facilities: everything's modern and new, I like that no carpet's in the...

With the airport directly linked to the metro system, being able to see the hotel as soon as you get out of the station is beyond convenient. But jet lag aside, the location is also ideal if art museums are your thing. While the hotel itself is nothing to write home about, a contemporary room without carpeting is definitely a...

My husband and I stayed here the first night of our honeymoon and it was perfect. It is located in an ideal spot in Atocha, within walking distance of the Renfe train station, many local bars/restaurants, and it's right next door to a huge dance club called Teatro Kapital. However, we did not hear one sound from the club so...

It was a great stay. I stayed here for two nights while in Madrid. We picked the hotel for it's proximity to the train station, but loved everything else it had to offer. It's in short walking distance to the Museums and a little further to the old town area. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was...

I was booked into this hotel by the organizers of a festival I was participating in. This place was great. I got in between 3 and 5 am each night/morning and there was someone to promptly and securely open the door. They were extremely good natured. They let me re-up my internet at 4:00 in the morning. The location was...

Location is excellent. Despite the fact Madrid has more than 5 million inhabitants and by that a huge area is involved, you can see big majority of all the important sites by foot, if you will be staying in Husa Paseo del Arte. Plaza Major, Puerta del Sol, Museum Prado, home of Guernica, Gran Via, Atocha station, Royal palace, Cathedral...

We used this hotel for 1 night in Madrid as were leaving from the Atocha railway station the next morning. It is very convenient as it is easy walking distance to the metro from the airport and the railway. The hotel was modern, clean and quiet even although on a major road. We had breakfast across the road for a...

After a week in Vigo, enjoying some of the most succulent, flavourful, and freshest seafood, a visit to the hotel at this restuarant was very disappointing. Everything else about this hotel was fine (price, location, quality, staff) but the restuarant was not. They claim to have some quality chefs. Hmm! I had the pheasant salad, which was fresh enough and...

I was very happy with this hotel ... 5 minute walk from the train station and museums, clean and large room, big bathroom with decent hair dryer, very comfy bed. Desk staff was courteous and spoke excellent English. Hallway carpets need a good cleaning, but otherwise no complaints. Did not eat in the hotel. Stayed on a Sunday night, so...

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighborhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
