We enjoyed our stay and the staff are also good. Breakfast is very good and they even pack you a picnic packet if you are going for a tour early morning. However, they do not arrange any tour nor do they know about it.

I booked this hotel for the location and wasn't dissapointed. However everything else was average to poor. Good points.... location is excellent, bars restaurants shops metro all in easy walking distance. Sound proofing is brilliant too, no noise in room from street. The hotel and rooms are clean. Bad points.... breakfast is awful.... I know it's free but even so... More

They say that is a 3 star hotel. It is not even a 1 star hotel. The linen was blood stained. The room is just smelly and outdated. It is very noisy all night. The breakfast is horrible. The only good thing is the coffee machine in the breakfast area. The hotel is very central.

Stayed here recently with a group tour. The staff were excellent and very accommodating to our needs. Rooms are basic and clean with everything you need for a city break. Breakfast was basic but sufficient for a continental! The location of the hotel is excellent with just a short walk to some of the main areas of Madrid. There are... More

Room size was smaller that what it was advertised, bed was of a smaller size than a standard double one, got a severe back pain; pillows were thin and awful, the room was very warm and for ventilation, could not keep the balcony door open also because of the noisy night club La Cartuja just opposite to the hotel. We... More

The Hotel is clean and centrally located in Pureta Del Sol within walking distance to lots of Restaurants, Nightclubs and Theatres But the Receptionists are more like Securities. The receptionists do not speak a word of English they are unhelpful they only guard the front door nothing else. The Manager of the Hotel even worst than them as He Refused... More

Staying in Huertas

Neighborhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighborhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighborhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
