Great option in one of the best neighborhoods in Madrid. Stylish, modern. clean and chic. Surrounded by lots of restaurants and fancy shops. Near the Park as well. Definitely, would go back. (rooms a little tiny though).

I put extra research into finding the Totem Madrid Hotel and I was not disappointed. I decided to find a hotel in a quiet but convenient location, with personalized service and a great staff. The Totem Madrid is a beautifully designed hotel in a smart neighborhood where we found some of Madrid's best restaurants. At the Totem you are also easy distance from the park, for walking/running/biking as well as a close ride to many of Madrid's best attractions. Special thanks to the hotel's restaurant staff which made breakfast a great way to start each day.

My perfect hotel - a boutique hotel, stunning decor, comfortable attractive room with a door that opened onto a Juliet balcony, very good breakfast, and first class service from arrival to departure. And a surprise treat in our room to celebrate my birthday. In the beautiful Salamanca area. I highly recommend this hotel.

We have stayed here many times. It’s the perfect location near all the best restaurants. It’s a short walk to the park. Tourist attractions such as plaza mayor and San Miguel market and a short taxi or 30 min walk. The espresso martinis are great. They have parking. The staff are all very helpful. Very comfortable and clean.

Totally recommend this hotel. Room was spotless, quiet and beds were so comfortable. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with a good choice in the hotel restaurant which was very relaxing. Rooms were cleaned while at breakfast which was a lovely touch. All areas of the hotel were very well designed. Location in Madrid was fantastic - metro 5 mins and in a lovely district. All in all a great stay…

had a wonderful room with balcony facing street side with all necessities available (room 205). have stayed at Totem a number of times and this hotel always delivers on expectation hence I keep coming back when in Madrid. the personal touch at reception, the personal hand-written welcome note in room and great person helping with baggage and taxi when arriving and leaving makes the stay at Totem so enjoyable. bar area is just perfect in dimension to keep it cosy and they serve wonderful cocktails and wines by the glass. perfect also to just chill out alone as woman with a drink and finishing some work on pc without anybody bothering you. last stay I forgot my e-reader and glasses in the room and the hotel arranged for a taxi to bring my forgotten items to the airport!! they even provided the licence plate of the taxi coming to bring my items. This is service!!!

The hotel itself is wonderful but the fantastic staff made it EXCEPTIONAL! We were greeted with such enthusiasm and kindness that it felt like a home from home. The desk staff gave us lots of useful tips about where to eat, drink and visit. The position is near the centre but surprisingly quiet. Nothing was more than a 25 minute walk away (galleries etc) and there were plenty of good coffee shops and bars just around the corner for breakfast or late night drinks. The bar in the hotel however was also exceptional. Feeling refreshed and renewed. Thank you to all the staff for a great job.

My husband and I (with our 3 month old) enjoyed our two-night stay at Totem. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They remembered us when we returned and departed, and always got our stroller from storage right away when we came down to the lobby / offered to store it when we returned. The lobby bar area is cozy and nicely appointed -- comfortable to have a drink or get work done. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel since there were plenty of coffee shops nearby. It's in the more southern part of Salamanca, which was perfect for walking to Retiro park, Prado, etc... and there are great small boutiques in addition to more mainstream stores in the neighborhood. We had terrific dinners at Verdejo and Tres Por Cuatro, and a great lunch at Natif. The room was on the smaller side, but well appointed, had a nice street view, and was comfortable with a small couch and room for a small baby crib, too.

A pair of sunglasses were stolen from the room and the hotel did not take responsibility. The way they treat the incident was terrible. They sent us an email insinuating that we should had lost them. Do not book here as THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE AT ALL!

The hotel could hardly be better located. Right in the heart of the Salamanca district, where all the shops, restaurants are and near the famous Paseo del Arte where the best museums are located. The rooms are excellent (I particularly recommend the attic ones that I find best value – and space – for money), well decorated, comfortable and modern. The bar is A#1 with a couple of shelves with more than 300 bottles on them (yes, I counted them). The restaurant seems to be a different company under the same roof and seems good although we never dined there, just had their desserts at the bar. Breakfast, which is taken at the restaurant, is very good. I have nothing else to add about the hotel but TripAdvisor requires me to use at least 200 words, so yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda.
