Spacious room with everything you need when staying in Madrid. Everything was very clean. Lack of maintenance and finishing touch (handrail in the bath came nearly of the wall and you definitely needed it as the bath was very slippery. Room could do with some plug sockets at the bedside and a few spare pillows. Toilet didn't flush very well.... More

Nice room, good food and walking distance of Plaza España and a lot of good stores. Prices very affordable. Easy access to the tourist bus and taxis. You can take a taxi to Atocha train station and in 20 minutes you are in Toledo.

Fantastic location. Great breakfast buffet for 6 euros. bathtub!! Incredibly helpful front desk staff. Small, boutique hotel. Only downside is the street scene is a bit noisy at night but that is what happens when one is in the center of the action. Would definitely stay here again.

Three good things: location, rooms were clean, staff friendly and efficient. I'm not sure if it was just our room affected or others, but we backed onto a hostel so there was noise and music until around 5am each night, so we slept really badly. Also really noisy from around 7am onwards as you could hear everyone moving around in... More

Stayed for two nights. Spacious room and clean. Just don't stay at the corner rooms because it can be very noisy at night due to the bar on the ground floor, otherwise, everything should be good. Location is excellent for our needs.

I stayed in Victoria 4 with my family in july 2015 ! It's a wonderful hotel for a 3 stars rating hotel. The rooms are so clean and the staff is friendly ! The breakfast is in the basement but it's okay. It consists of an European breakfast. It's 2 minutes away of puerta del sol the heart of madrid... More

Out of my entire trip to Spain this was my fav hotel!! Fast and speedy checkin and check out. Amazing staff. Comfortable room and great views. You really get the feel of Madrid. Perfect location with walking distance to main attractions and metro. Only thing I would say is if you don't like noise, don't get a room facing the... More

The breakfast was only ham , bakery , juices and yoghurt . This is it , no cheese , no eggs , nothing . My father's wallet disappeared after the room service too , we may be wrong but we only took taxis and walked and we didn't get into any crowds, so... The room also needed maintenance for the... When in town don't hesitate. The hotel is at a very good, central location...the rooms are clean (however not really big) and the breakfast is just ok (not really a lot of choice and no hot items (except a bread toaster)). The ladies at the frontdesk and the housekeeping are very, very helpful. They all do their job in a... More

We had been in Madrid for 4 nights and had stayed in Calle de Alcalla (5 minute walk away). We had booked a hotel in Valencia but when we got to the train station discovered that trains to Valencia get booked up very quickly, so quickly went online and knew this was the area we wanted to stay in, due... Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
