From the from desk staff and all the other employees, their customer service goes well above and beyond! A+++++! From day 1 of our stay we felt very confident that we were in very capable hands, kudos again! We will definitely be staying at the NH collection Suecia again!
We’ve travelled a lot and have stayed in many hotels but we’ve never been treated so well or enjoyed a hotel stay as much as we have here. Exceedingly friendly and helpful staff from the minute we arrived. They arranged Covid testing for travel home, printed results always with sincere smiles. Restaurant excellent. Rooftop bar superb. Location excellent facing a quiet street but in the centre of everything. Looking forward to returning here on her next visit to Madrid
Wonderful hotel with friendly staff and the roof bar is fantastic! The room was very nice and the location was excellent. A great place to stay in Madrid. Easily walkable to lots of tapas spots and many tourist locations.
This was a great hotel in the heart of Madrid, easily in walking distance to everything but out of the way from the main tourist area. The staff was lovely and very helpful. This was a fantastic hotel and I would definitely stay here again! There are a few points I would like to share for fellow travelers: The room was large and modern, but there was not enough light in the bedroom and bathroom. As a female, I found it difficult to do my makeup. (The lighting did not bother my husband) Also, the light in the bathroom is connected to the light over the coffee maker in the bedroom so if one person is using the bathroom and the other is still sleeping, the light disturbs the person in the bedroom. The shower was in the bathtub and the bathtub was very high. There was no bar to hold onto, and my husband and I both slipped multiple times trying to get out of the tub shower. This seems very dangerous to me and I hope they install bars in the future. …
we really had a great time at nh hotels , staff were really nice , clean room , great location in town , comfortable room . we wish we could stay more ❤️ I love that they give us chocolate at 4 o clock maybe it was because of christmas ❤️ nice decoration in lobby
Friendly Staff, Great Breakfast, Clean Hotel and Great Location. Docking one star because our rooms # 304 and 306 were very noisy. We could hear water flowing through pipes all night. All in all, we would love to stay here again but we would ask for quieter rooms.
I had a poor experience at this hotel from the moment I arrived, there was nobody to open the front door or greet us or anything. We entered into the lobby which is shared with their restaurant Casa Suecia and it’s just pure chaos there because there’s so many people waiting to dine there as well. You have to lug your luggage up a flight of steps to get to the lobby and there is nobody there to help you. At the lobby there is no line, it’s just a congregate of people waiting to talk to somebody. After waiting a while, we got checked in but the host who checked us in rushed us through the check in process. Didn’t explain anything about the gym, the restaurant, the rooftop, nada. Literally checked us in and gave us our keys and that was it. No warm welcome to Madrid. Despite the poor customer service I let it go because our stay the first night was fine. However on the 2nd night we were there, things went south. We could hear very loud music and stomping from our room on the 9th floor until 12:30AM. The reception had previously told us the day before that the rooftop bar closed at midnight so I was upset when the music continued until way past 12am. I tried to call reception to find out what was going on but our phone was broken, it was unable to dial downstairs. I had to change out of my pajamas at 12:15am to take the elevator downstairs to ask why the music was still playing. I got to the front desk and a gentleman tried to assist me but we were having trouble communicating with each other because I didn't speak Spanish and he was struggling a bit with his English. Because of this, I had to repeat myself frequently because he wasn't understanding what I was trying to say. While I was trying to get my point across, a rude guest who was hovering behind me the entire time interrupted us and insisted that we halt our conversation so that she could be checked in first because she was "tired" and that "I was being redundant". I literally don’t understand why there is not a queue to talk to the front desk at this hotel because if there was, this guest wouldn’t have had the opportunity to literally stand right behind me breathing down my neck as I was talking to the front desk listening to my every word and then somehow think that her needs were more important than mine at that very moment to the point where I had to stop what I was doing so she could be helped first. The front desk gentleman also did nothing to alleviate the situation when the guest behind me was so incredibly rude to me. He could have asked the lady to wait her turn but he literally let her rudely berate me. After all this, I tried to quickly finish my conversation with the gentleman and asked if he would have my phone fixed the next day. He said yes but he’d need my room number, I told him my room number but said I wasn’t 100% sure. He then told me I needed to be sure so he asked me to go back up to my room to look at my room number and come back down to confirm with him. What?! I asked him if he could just look it up in his computer that he was standing in front of instead, and when I asked him that he looked annoyed but reluctantly did so. The next day I went downstairs and spoke to a different staff member, Patricia, who was kind and helpful. She apologized for everything and offered to move us into a junior suite on a lower floor with less noise for our last night and gave us a free breakfast voucher which I really appreciated. However, upon checking into the new room, I realized that it was a connecting room and there was a very thin door separating our room with the next suite. I could hear every single word from the family next door. It was worse than the music from the rooftop. I felt like I was in the same room as the other family, it was unbelievable. On top of all of us, the smoke detector went off in the middle of the night waking us up and triggering the dog next door to bark uncontrollably. Overall I would not recommend this hotel, they have a popular restaurant in the lobby, a cocktail bar in the basement, AND rooftop bar here so this is basically a loud giant party hotel with music bumping from every corner. They are more focused on their guests at the restaurant and bars and neglect the guests who are actually staying at their hotel, it’s really astonishing that this hotel is considered 5 stars given everything I've experienced.…
Its' a second time we stay in this hotel. Best location, close to both Significant museums of Madrid and the park. Very friendly staff, very clean. The breakfast is good. Definitely recommend as your stay in Madrid
Stayed for five nights whilst we explored Madrid. The standard of the hotel was excellent but more importantly the friendliness of the staff was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast each morning was top quality and varied. The rooms were well presented and the bathroom spacious. The hotel benefits from a sky bar which gives you views across Madrid so seeing the sunset over a vino blanco was a simple but a highlight of our stay in this great city.
The service was excellent! It is a chain that offers comfort and quality. I've been in other hotels that belong to the same chain and the service is airways the same. That's simmering that I really like, so I won't get any surprises
