Newly revamped rooms, comfortable beds and bedding. Very clean, bright and modern designs typical of Ibis hotels. Large bathroom with modern shower. Very quiet. Large flat-screen TV with popular international channels. No problems with Wi-Fi . Front-desk service was first rate. We regret not getting the name of the lady usually at reception because she definitely deserves favorable mentioning. The...

We stayed at the Ibis Madrid Centro hotel for 6 nights in April and enjoyed it very much. The location of the hotel is very good. It is located between two metro stations - Bilbao (150 meters to the left) and San Bernardo (300 meters to the right). The hotel is located very close to many bars and pubs in...

Pros; Central Madrid Location, Clean and modern budget hotel, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and bed, quiet hotel with undisturbed nights. Con; Very bad Wi Fi signal in some of the rooms, no safe box in the rooms, just one small elevator for 4 floors of rooms. We have stayed here many times and while it's not a perfect hotel it...

The location is excellent. It's 2 minutes walk to metro station. The walk to centre of town is around 15 to 20 minutes. There are many restaurants around. The room is typical Ibis, functional and nothing fancy. The housekeeping did a good job in cleaning the room. Overall it's a good choice in Madrid.

A great hotel centrally located in Madrid. Only a short walk to the Metro. It is also possible to reach many of Madrids attractions like the Prado Museum, Royal Castle and Plaza Mayor on foot. There are several eating opportunities just outside the hotel. Walking distance to several of Madrids nightlife opportunities.

We stayed here for a week including over the bank holiday weekend at the beginning of May. -Location- The hotel is located in a really handy place, with many bars, and clubs nearby as well as being very near to Bilbao metro station  (lines 1 and 4) but within easy walking distance you can also have access to Line 2...

The Ibis Centro is well situated in the bustling Malasana neighborhood. Restaurants, shopping and a Metro station are merely steps away. But therein lies a problem - street noise. We never quite had a good night's sleep because noise from the streets. We do not necessarily find fault with the hotel for this issue. One other issue we had involved...

Good location to stay in Madrid. Close to metro station Bilbao with good connections to the rest of Madrid. Surrounded by small streets with bars and restaurants. Parking nearby is a little expensive.

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
