Stayed here with my girlfriend on the recommendation of a friend Problems we had: Room: Old and dark with uncomfortable beds and sticky floor. Very few sockets (annoying when you have phones camera etc to charge) Bathroom door broke so I was locked in - girlfriend asked reception for help. They handed here a paperclip to pick the lock! Rooms were super old, dark, crwmped and with uncomfortable beds. To use a security safe box i had to rent a separate box at reception. Air conditioning felt like a fire breathing dragon after they said they were gonna have maintenance on it after my first night. Find somewhere better!

Its conveniently located but other than than is not good at all. Rooms in general are very bad and dirty. Beds are even worst. The hotel is cheap, however with such quality I think you can find cheaper ones nearby.

I started here to complete the Madrid rock and roll half marathon add it was close to the start and finish lines. This is the only reason I would consider staying here again as the conditions are quite poor. I asked for a twin room as I was traveling with a parent and instead we were given a double room... Stayed there 4 days and that was to much.... If you wish to travel in couples then you have found the anti romance itself: Since the hotel has scarce double beds, i had to sleep in single beds and when i asked to be changed their only solution was to "go to a real hotel in front because they are... Great location in front of the museum of archeology, surrounded by elegant restaurants and shops. 7 minutes from Retiro park. The main entrance has few stairs, they should put a catwalk access for luggages/baby carriages/handicapped... The residence lobby and common spaces are not in perfect conditions and need a little refresh. The 25m2 apartment is small, looks more like a... More

Looks to be under construction but I can tell its looked like that for a long time. If you like cold showers, parties with loud music until 2am, decor that looks like an ugly locker room, the smell of cheap disinfectant, closets that fit 2 shirts, nothin more and the ability to listen to your neighbor's pillow talk, this is... Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
