I have read the mixed reviews about this hotel before and after having stayed here. I have to say that I stand well onto the side of loving it. Location was perfect for sightseeing and getting around. My room was clean, spacious and noise free...More
Gorgeous rooms. gorgeous views. Close to a metro station (Banco de Espana). The restaurant attached is wonderful, and a nearby restaurant restaurante el Jardin on Calle De La Reina is absolutely amazing.
Don't come here expecting any kind of service, help, or a smile. You won't get it. These people are all business. There isn't even a placard in the room telling you which number to dial reception. You'll just have to figure it out and they...More
Stayed for 5 days and loved it. Great friendly service; location is unbeatable; around the block from Gran Via, yet away from the noise and hussle; close to reach everywhere. Room was spacious and clean and comfy with one of the largets bathrooms I've ever...More

Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
