The hotel is around 15 minutes walk from the airport. We stayed just for night between flights. It's cheap and worked fine.
Hot water was a bit brownish at the beginning and the isolation was not the best as we could hear what our neirbours...More
Showing its age. The bar/cafe is closed permanently. The air-con was prone to rattling quite loudly at times. There was a problem with the hot water in the whole hotel but it was fixed. Also the hot water was prone to surges of VERY hot...More
We stayed in this hotel both arriving and departing Madrid as it is near the airport. We found it clean, comfortable, efficient and very well priced. The staff were friendly and helpful, directing us to the bus to the airport. The hotel is only 5...More
We stayed here for one night before an early flight. The hotel does the job; it's cheap and clean and the airport bus is just minutes away from the door. I did wish that the walls weren't so thin - you can hear people coming...More
We stayed 1 night in this hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Nothing to complain about, except the wifi was only in the hotel’s lobby, which was not a big deal for me.
There were many restaurants nearby at the Barajas square, so it...More

I don't know what Eros is talking about. This hotel is near the airport. The city center of Madrid is many miles away.....but you can easily take the Metro. Eros might have confused the hotel, because I did see the name pop up on a map of downtown; what is shown on the accompanying map, though, is the airport hotel.
If you are staying just one night, it will be hard to see much of Madrid. But you could take the Metro "downtown" and go to the Plaza Mayor and/or a nearby tapas bar and maybe get a feel for the city. Depending on your flight times/energy/interests, maybe you could pack in the Prado Museum, but that's pushing it.
If not, the neighborhood near the hotel is very Madrid itself. This is not like staying at an "airport hotel" away from everything. You are right in the heart of a real neighborhood with lots of local restaurants, outdoor cafes, stores, etc. Yet, close to the airport.
I do not think the Hotel has a shuttle to the airport. Take metro or taxi.
We parked in a big empty lot for free, less than two blocks from hotel. Ask at the front desk. She said that's where she parks. Parked there overnight and it seemed safe :) .

"In room 104 the WiFi signal was mostly adequate - otherwise WiFi is only available in the lobby."
