Elegant, understated hotel. Staff is lovely. We had three different rooms over January and all were excellent. Eood shutters keep rooms dark and quiet. Tremendous value for your money. We never do hotel breakfasts but this one looked particularly nice. Love the location— for walking and subway and also a spot for your can or uber to pull over (we used cabify).
A beautiful building in a quiet yet central neighborhood in Madrid, my partner and I stayed for one night in a room with a private terrace on the fifth floor. The staff were warm, attentive and courtious, helping with transportation to and from the airport. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was included, and was a nice way to start off our day in Madrid!
The team was really friendly and tried their best to make my stay comfortable. I arrived early on my check-in day and they took the initiative and tried their best to find alternative so that I can have my room earlier. The room is clean and comfortable. My favourite was the overhead shower! Nice volume of water, temperature controlled tap. I loved it. It was easily the best shower I have ever used, even compared to some 5 star hotels.
Nice hotel in a great location. This hotel is in a good location to use as a base to explore Madrid central. It is situated right next to a metro station from which you can hop on three lines and is only a few stops from most of the points of interest, a lot of which are also within a comfortable walking distance. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. We had a standard double room (412 on the forth floor), which is a little on the small side but did not impact our stay. The room showed some signs of wear and tear and could do with a bit of TLC, in particular the bathroom where the shower screen is coming away form the frame and the sink top, which is wooden, had water damage. This did not spoil our experience. The room faced the inner courtyard and was thankfully very quiet with no road noise. The bed was very comfortable. The room was cleaned to a very high standard everyday. The hotel as a whole was very quiet for its location and is very well presented. We will definitely be coming back on our return visit!…
Great hotel. I feel that is hotel is a newer hotel. It is close by to metro stations. The room was pretty spacious and bathroom was great. No tub but that is fine the walk in shower along with attachment is great, also included a bidet near the commode. Only gripe is there is an emergency exit door near the bed, kinda bothered me but it was fine. Had housekeeping service room when I went sightseeing. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Would stay again if I visit Madrid again.
Solid 4-star hotel with above average service. We spent a week in the “tower suite” of the Sardinero. This is a largish room that includes two private terraces plus the tower itself, which is a sitting room. The weather was so nice, we used the terraces quite a bit and the tower not at all, but I can see the tower being a nice place to read in the colder months. The terraces are lovely, weather permitting, offering a nice view (see photos) toward the city center. The only problem we had was that WIFI service in that particular room was dicey, but we informed the staff and hopefully they’ll address it. (The hotel seems to have good WIFI service everywhere else, including the hallway just outside our room, but there’s a problem with the walls of that particular room.) The hotel is on a busy plaza, so expect street noise, particularly if you keep any windows open. It rarely bothered us. The service was uniformly excellent and unobtrusive throughout the stay. The location is just outstanding. Easy to find cabs. Two subway lines right there. More a few blocks away. Better yet, lots of stuff within walking distance. The restaurant offers an optional breakfast service. It’s okay, but there are myriad better options in cafés and bakeries nearby, unless you must eat really early. One thing to note: there’s a flight of stairs from the hotel lobby up to the elevator bank—they might have another route to the elevator bank that we don’t know about, but if you prefer to avoid stairs as much as possible, this might not be the hotel for you.…
My wife and I stayed here on a weekend away to attend a friends wedding. The journey from the airport isn’t far, the staff are welcoming, the hotel is clean, the rooms are well stocked with the little things that make life easier and the breakfast is good. Great location for exploring Madrid.
Clean room and friendly staff, ready to help. Very central location, perfect both for business purposes and to discover the city’s hotspots. The room is equipped with everything necessary, but at the same time is very basic and not that spacious. Maybe a little bit expensive.
Fantastic hotel in the heart of Madrid. Excellent location with the metro right outside the door and most everything else just a 14-20 min walk away, friendly and helpful staff and the "Tower room" was beyond expectations. Not 1 but 2 beautiful terraces and 2 Juliette balconies! The room was huge and very well appointed with everything one would need for a great stay. The complimentary bottle of cava and macarons was such a nice treat. 10/10 5 stars 100% recommend!
I recently stayed at this hotel for the weekend with some adult family members. For us, it was perfectly located in the heart of the coffee/ restaurant area of central Madrid and only a short distance from the public transport system to get around the city, including hop-on-hop-off bus service that we arranged in advance. The rooms were modern and good quality, the beds in particular were high quality and very comfortable. The staff were excellent Overall our experience was very good and this hotel is definitely worth considering if you are looking at a visit to Madrid. If i had to list some negatives it would be that the bar did not stock Vodka at any time on our first day which was annoying when there are plenty of shops around to buy a bottle for the bar - there was some on day 2 The breakfast was quite poor to be honest. No1, the coffee machine was a constant frustration for guests and the poor breakfast waitress, who had to take it apart every few minutes and reset it as it would fail almost every time it finished pouring a coffee. It was clear this was a real pain for the waitress and i know it was a pain for the guests who, like me, had to wait patiently time and again for it to come back on The continental selection was ok and the hot items were just not very nice at all. I suspect powdered egg and budget bacon. The fact is, for us nothing felt like quality or even worth paying for. A real shame. In the end we opted not to eat breakfast at the hotel even though we had paid for it as part of our booking, instead we visited a local establishment close by and had a fantastic breakfast as a family in all, its great for location and the room but not so great for the bar and the breakfast - i would consider for a business trip but i wouldn't return for a family break.…
