This is a fine and modern hotel, well-located in the artsy Lavapiés district of Madrid, a short walk from Atocha train station and within an easy stroll from three of Madrid’s major museums: the Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen. In the very centre of Madrid, this 19 room hotel is perfectly located, and quite simply, superb. Run by two brothers and their wonderful staff, it’s a real pleasure to stay here. Excellent modern facilities, and great value in a refurbished old building. Round the corner from Reina Sofia Museum. A world away from the cold anonymity of hotel chains, this is old fashioned hospitality at its best. Outstanding.

This is a really wonderful hotel. Small and intimate. Very central and convenient. The rooms are lovely and light. Really great staff. Overall i recommend this hotel very highly for anyone visiting Madrid.

I liked this hotel more than I expected. I usually seek out funky little B & B's or older boutique hotels, so I was afraid Hotel Artrip would be a bit sterile. In reality, it has a sleek, artsy vibe that is classier and more interesting than its pictures suggest. A few specifics: Staff: Friendly and helpful. My wife had to ice her ankle twice daily, and they cheerfully fetched an ice pack for her every time. Also, we had to arrive almost six hours before check-in, and they were able to get us into our room within two hours. Room: We stayed in 502, a junior suite. It was spacious, attractive and impeccably clean. Hotel rooms are not usually nicer than their pictures, but this was. Room was clean. They had bottle of wine as a welcome gift. Front desk woman was very sweet and helpful. The location is good for tourist but if you want the good local vibe, it's about 20min walk. Good neighborhood

Beautiful, well designed, quiet and spotlessly clean rooms with lovely balcony views over the street. The staff were all lovely. Friendly and welcoming and endlessly helpful. Highly recommended! Great neighbourhood too!

Just had an amazing stay at the Hotel Artrip in Madrid. It was my first time in the city, and my first ever solo trip and I felt very safe at this hotel. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, especially a lady on reception called Esther who helped me with my phone when I needed pictures taking of it for insurance purposes. They even accommodated a late check out for me which I was very grateful for as I had a late flight. From check in to check out, the whole experience was just perfect. I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Madrid! :)

We had an amazing experience from the moment we arrived, the hole team made us feel special and went the extra mile to make this a memorable experience. The hotel itself is modern but keeps the essence of what it was before and the typical Madrid architecture. Very well located to visit everywhere I. madrid and to enjoy Sundays at Latina - just ideal. Rooms very spacious and super clean - wifi amazing and the common areas are just wonderful. Me quedé allí durante algunos semanas y me gustó mucho! Las habitaciones son muy cómodo y luminoso con mucho espacio. El barrio también está muy divertido y el dueño Miguel me ayudo mucho. Lo recomiendo! I stayed in the hotel for a few weeks and overall I really liked it! 5he rooms are very comfortable with a lot of light and space. The neighbourhood is really fun with plenty to do there and the owner Miguel helped me a lot. I would highly recommend it!

Thank you for a great stay at your hotel. This is a very unique property which was formerly an old house converted to a hotel. I stayed for 2 nights in early September. I loved the suite and the area was perfect for moving around. Staff were very friendly and helpful from start to finish. I highly recommend staying at this unique property.
