We choose this hotel because is one block from the Gran Via and all attractions in Madrid but at the same time is on a quiet street. We asked for a quiet room away from the elevator with a view to an interior patio. We were able to sleep any time day and night. The rooms with view to the... More

Booked this hotel when i came to Madrid end of July. the place was easy to get to and the location was great. When we got there we were greeted and shown to our room pretty quick. The room my sister and i had first had was lovely and spacious. However we had to as to change the room as... More

This is the second time I stay at 7 Islas and, again, it was an excellent stay. The rooms are incredible and it is quite an affordable place to stay. The relation price/quality is excellent and the staff is extremely helpful and kind. The rooms are big, bathroom is amazing and location couldn't get any better. Unfortunately I haven't tried... The hotel just great, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, the staff is kind, and the location just perfect- close to all attractions and Gran Via. Very recommend if you're planning a vacation in Madrid.

A nice little hotel on a quiet street right off of the main road. We easily walked to everything we wanted to see, but also escaped out of the crowds to get to the hotel. Also a few nice up and coming spots on the street.

We came here at the last minute when an airbandb turned out to be not right for us. It was perfect: we had one of the better rooms and it was spacious and comfortable - just what we were looking for. We wanted to be in Malasana (sp?) but there are few hotels there and this is pretty close. We... More

Location is very good. Near Gran Via street. It's clean and modern. Breakfast is too late( from 8-11) and there is only 1 waiter. For the breakfast you can eat some spanish specialtys. You can use iMac computer. We stay in hotel for 2 day in august. Good air conditioning. In the hotel there is free WIFI access but in... More

I stayed at the Siete Islas for four nights from August 10-14. The hotel is excellent, for many reasons. It’s perfectly located by Gran Via but is just to the north in the Malasaña area, which is absolutely great. I’ve been here several times before and the hotel has been redesigned and redecorated over time and is stylish and contemporary.... More

This is an excellent hotel which made our stay in Madrid amazing. Firstly, the location is superb. Malasana part of Madrid is by far the most exciting part of the city and the hotel is ideally located in that lively colourful part. In spite of that, the rooms are quiet which ensures you will have a nice rest after a... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
