Very good hotel with nice atmosphere, the location is good everything is near... Awesome view of the famous street atocha, just few minutes to the metro station and the famous placa mayor. I will definitely get back there, sometimes after ... Special thanks to the front desk staff for the great service...

This is a terrific hotel. The hotel staff are extremely courteous, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was delicious and had great variety. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is close to many tourist places. Our place was large and clean.

In many ways we got a rare deal of value for money. 210$ per person for 5 nights, including breakfast. But, even if ull pay more, it'b still worth it! The location is perfect. 10-15 min walk from city center Gran via/Sol sq/ Santa Ana sq. and more. local shops along the st. and less than a min' walk to... More

Booked this through the cooperative. It's close to the station, but at present the metro that sits right outside the hotel is closed for maintenance. The hotel is about 15 mins talk from the station, made harder by the hill you've got to walk up to get there. Well located to food establishments, for both breakfast and dinner. There are... More

The hotel is clean and in a good location (more on location later.) Our room was quite large by Eurpean Standards. Heck it would have been a good size in a lot of North American cities as well. The hotel had an excellent breakfast with some great cheese. As for the location, it is an easy walk to the Prado,... More

The hotel is close and walking distance to the train station and the main tourist areas. However there is nothing that stands out about this hotel. Customer service is OK , but not outstanding. The front desk failed to mention the WiFi connection. Failed to point out areas of interest. The room was clean , but small. The tissue box... More

Great hotel close to Puerta de Sol. Room is spacious compared to other rooms I've stayed in Europe. Clean. Nice decor. Only problem...my air conditioning in the room was not functioning properly in the hot, humid Madrid weather. Problem reported to front desk. They sent someone to make sure A/C was on. It was, but blowing warm air...we had to... More

Comfortable stay. Distance to atocha station (which was a factor in selecting this hotel) was more than what it appears. On the hindsight could have opted for tryp gran via. Metro station just outside hotel. Walked to watch flamenco in night. Also could catch hopon hop off bus at walking distance. It was LGBT parade that evening but couldn't enjoy... More

My husband and I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Atocha Cercanias station (we were taking a train from there the following day). There were plenty of places to eat and visit. El Museo del Prado is very close and so is Museo Reina Sofia. We walked to the train station the following day (no need for... More

Their services were good.In fact I liked there in spite of the hot weather. But if the metro system in Atocha was normal ,it would be a perfect trip for me in Madrid.I like their breakfasts in the 3 mornings. Thanks for supplying us hot water in midnight.

Staying in Huertas

Neighborhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighborhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighborhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
