Location is close to the metro, not far for the center. Next to it, there is a supermarket Simply with good prices, open till 10 o'clock in the night. Our room was very clean although not modern and with almost everything you want for cooking something not too complicated, in the evening when we were home. Very useful dishes but...

As a woman travelling alone I was a little reluctant about staying as some of the reviews and photos didn't seem that good. However, I really had a nice stay. I was upgraded to an apartment by a lovely concierge who was really friendly and helpful, providing an iron and local information. The location is great. The pool a real...

If you looking for cheap nice place in good area of Madrid then stay here. Staff great, easy to get to from airport catching 200 bus at 1.50€ and then a 5-10min walk from terminus. Would highly recommend. Salamanca is a lovely area to stay. Beautiful streets nice eateries and supermarket is right next door to hotel. Metro close by...

I really loved this hotel. The location is great and very close to the metro for getting around the city. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. It was very clean and fairly quiet. The air conditioning is automatic so if its not warm enough outdoors, it's not on. That's the only negative point.

The rooms have a little kitchen with range, refrigerator, microwave, utensils, sink. Perfect for breakfast or a fast dinner before or after going around Madrid It is located next to metro station and supermarket right below the building. Quiet atmosphere.

Hotel very comfortable. Staff very polite, professional and helpful. Less than 5 minute walk from Metro stop. WiFi worked great in room. Room could be called a mini studio as a ktchenette (which we did not use) was included and a supermarket right next door. Restaurants galore within easy walking distances. Great value.

Good location. Rooms are dated (bit claustrophobic ), furnished and functional. Not easy to make coffee or tea, no small pot or kettle. Kitchenette is handy with fridge. Supermarket next door. Metro close by.

Easy to reach from the airport. Buy a ticket at one of the vending machines at the airport. Then, including 1 transfer, it takes around 25 minutes to reach metro station Diego de Leon, which is almost next to the hotel. Entrance/name is not well indicated, but if you know the housenumber, it's easy since clearly visible. There's a concierge,...

Situated in the cool area of Salamanca... Metro just across the street. Choice of supermarkets all at a five minute walk or next to the building. Plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries, and places of interest. The apartment itself was spacious enough for two. The only thing that could be improved was a few more pots and pans if u should...

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.

“Get a 3-person room overlooking the pool-even if you're only 2 people. Worth the extra little bit of money for the increase in space&view”

“I had an exterior room during one visit and an interior room overlooking an internal patio area on my most recent visit. Didn't really notice any great difference besides the view, naturally nicer if you get an exterior room as it overlooks the main street which is more attractive than the patio view.”
