We were really pleased that we booked this hotel for our anniversary weekend in Madrid. I honestly cannot fault it. Check in was effortless with welcoming, friendly staff. Comfy beds and impeccably clean rooms. Beautiful decor throughout the hotel rooms and a good choice at breakfast. The location is amazing, right by the museum, park and shopping areas, tons of restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Madrid. Try the Thai Spa and restaurant on the 7th floor!

This has become one of our favorite hotels. Pristine service. Location. The hotel looks brand new. A great price off season too. Lovely. Thanks to Jean Paul for his attentiveness. Nice gym too. Highly recommended.

Everything about this property screams elegance, especially the lobby and Dry Martini Bar... Staff warm and courteous making this one of my favorite places to stay while visiting Madrid. The Fenix's location is perfect for just about everything shopping, sites, landmarks, museums and simply walking around... did I mention shopping... it's tucked away on a quite tiny street with everything just around the corner. Checking in was a breeze, I think I had been upgraded [without asking] but I'm not entirely certain, my room was large and furnished impeccably using luxurious finishes, king size bed sumptuous with gorgeous bedding, bathroom marble and spotless, giving an impression of a manor/castle guest quarters... impressive. One minor detail flaw, at least in my accommodations... there was no door peep hole, not a comforting feeling when it's knocked on. I would have a light breakfast [room service] and spend the entire day out and about, but returning you would always find me at DRY, enjoying a few dirty martini's and ordering dinner at the bar... my favorite place to eat when traveling. I have no clue about gym/spa so I'm no help there, except for two woman riding in the elevator with me, dressed to the nine's gushing over their manicures and spa day... However, what I can say, is the attention to detail, no matter how small during my stay was handled graciously, professional and quick. I have no hesitation when recommending the Fenix to anyone who enjoys their travels, as I do. Enjoy every adventure ahead of you and all the diversity our planet offers

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon during our stay in Madrid. Booked through the American Express Fine Hotels program provided us with a credit for dinner on our first night which was great. The hotel room is a classical traditional style and very comfortable and clean. There was a nice touch with a welcome champagne and chocolate covered strawberries as they knew we were visiting as part of our honeymoon. The rooms was relatively spacious and the bathroom was clean and of a high quality. The amenities were good and included a decent sized gym. Staff were friendly and helpful and provided us with information on what to do around the area and a map to help us get around. Overall a wonderful and comfortable stay!

We just got back home safe a couple hours ago. I have to post this review right away before going to sleep. We are Soooo touched by the whole crew of Gran Melia Fenix! Every year , we stay at Fenix Gran Melia for three nights since my work in Madrid. Besides the most ideal location , impeccable services, delicious breakfast , soundproof renovated room, the most memorable are the People working there! From the front desk, concierge, bellman to hotel operator , housekeeping ...... I can't speak highly enough about them! My husband suddenly had AFib( Irregular heartbeat) and couldn’t move right before we checked out. I was totally in shock😱 the lady at the front desk comforted me, extended our stay and called the doctor speaks English to arrive within 30 min! Later we were sent to the hospital has an international department to take more thorough tests. Meantime, guest services called us so many times , send us fruits , snack to make sure we are ok. Because of the exceptional hotel services, and wonderful doctors, my husband felt much better within 24 hours!! The whole hotel crew just like our big family , brought us so much love and caring to make us , the foreign visitors feel this is our home !! We love Spain !! Thank you So much to Gran Melia Fenix🙏🏻🙏🏻! We can’t wait to come back next year!
