The H10 Villa de la Reina Boutique Hotel is frequently commended for its central location, which offers easy access to major attractions and public transport, despite some reports of construction noise. While opinions on value and room expectations differ, the hotel's amenities, including comfortable beds and a varied breakfast, generally earn rave reviews. The atmosphere is described as a blend of elegance and tradition, and while the rooms are praised for their cleanliness, some guests have mentioned that they can be on the smaller side. The staff is often highlighted for their friendly and responsive service, although a few travelers have noted occasional inconsistencies.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Location is perfect, right near the Plaza Mayor and within walking distance of all the major sights in Madrid. The lobby and bar have plenty of comfortable seating and are nice spots to relax between outings. In the lobby there is free coffee and rolls in the morning, and cava and candy every evening. The breakfast is plentiful with juices, fruits, cake, crepes, pan con tomate, meats and cheeses, yogurt, cereal, eggs and sausages, breads - anything you could want! Our room was large with a massive king size bed with comfy pillows and sheets. Our bathroom was also massive with lovely soaps, shampoos and toothbrushes. Tub/shower combo with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Robes, safe and espresso maker in the room. My husband had a health emergency while we were staying here and every staff member was alerted - they all asked how he was doing every time they saw me. I highly recommend and would stay here when I return to Madrid.

Hotel's Favorite
I stay in Madrid often and had never considered this hotel before - but it will be my first choice next trip. The location is on busy Gran Via - but just go one block to the back and you're in very local neighborhoods. Lobby is extensive and lots of space to relax or enjoy a drink with no noise from the street. Comp coffee every morning and breakfast available downstairs. We traveled with family so we had two rooms. One room was the basic category since they wanted to minimize hotel expense and focus on shopping. Room was small and bathroom tiny - but for the time that we booked, it was a great value for a couple who only needed a place to crash at night. As H10 Club members they received turn-down service and chocolates on the first night. Our room was the Junior Suite Terrace which is one of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed. More expensive, but considering the fantastic bed, 15 foot ceilings, sitting room, huge bathroom, balcony plus large terrace it was great. As H10 Club members we received a complementary bottle of cava and turndown service with chocholates on the first night. Complementary water throughout the stay and nespresso type pods in room plus tea kettle to get started in the morning. Staff was consistently helpful and we all had a wonderful time. The hotel seems to be two older buildings combined - so this results in a large variety of room types with various pricing and bed size plus location/views. Just pay attention to the room category you book and you should have a fantastic stay. Note: not all room types are available on all booking sites - so check the hotel site directly for more choices.

Thank you so much for your feedback and rating. We are glad you enjoyed each space for the hotel. The hotel is just one building, built in 1919 as a bank, restructured in 2001 as a hotel and totally renewed and refurbished in 2015 Hope see you again and continue being your first choice. Best Regards and saludos desde Madrid.

Lovely friendly hotel, very near all amenities, the receptionists were very helpful, explained how to get to places and recommended places to visit. The room had rituals toiletries which were well received, the only gripe was the room, it was very small and hardly any room to get past the bed to the bathroom, you had to walk sideways.

This hotel was recommended to me; it did not disappoint. The location on Gran Via was between the Gran Via and Banco de Espana Metro stations in Central Madrid. The hotel was older but looked good. The king-size bed was firm and comfortable - not too soft. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We prepaid breakfast but they made takeaway picnic breakfasts when we had to leave early.

Love this hotel! The staff is warm and helpful. The breakfast is fabulous and the location is great. We walked to all the major sites we wanted to see. We were at the front of the hotel and there was some street noise, but not too bad. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the room a generous size. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Madrid.

La Reina was our favourite hotel on our recent trip to Europe. It is a perfect base for walking around the heart of Madrid and a one minute walk to the subway, with hoards of excellent restaurants within a few minutes’ walk. The lobby bar is nice. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and we had a large outdoor terrace with covered table and reclining chairs and views of the busy neighborhood below. Breakfast in the basement is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. We love h10 Madison in Barcelona too and would never stay anywhere else.

We chose H10 on recommendation from a friend.we arrived at this beautifully decorated hotel and were greeted warmly with two pleasant receptionist. We were promptly checked in and walked into a bright and airy room which overlooked the main road.Madrid is a busy and bustling city.I must admit my wife and I found the noise from traffic and crowds of people disturbing. Our sleep was disrupted overnight and we closed the balcony door which didn’t help much. The breakfast was comprehensive.Staff very pleasant and polite providing us with efficient service. Our cooked breakfast could have been warmer as we noticed during our stay.Well done Lorena,Well done Victoria ,our receptionist who helped us to find our way to the beautiful places to visit, booking our Hop On Hop Off tickets.they made every effort that we would enjoy our city break. We loved H10 and loved Madrid.Thank you H10.

I really enjoyed staying at the H10 Villa de la Reina Boutique Hotel. It is in a great location and you can walk to many major sites and shopping. The hotel has great attention to detail providing great amenities like slippers, robes and a good coffee machine. I became a member of the H10 loyalty club which gave me little things like cookies delivered to my room as well as a free welcome drink. The lobby also has a nice ambiance to have a drink. The only negative was that on my first night there, I was jet lagged after my trans-Atlantic flight and I had very noisy neighbours in the room next door. The walls seemed very thin. I could hear every word. After they checked out the next morning, it was quiet.

This is an ideally situated hotel on the Grande Via, our room was excellent we opted for GRAND DELUXE REINA ROOM which had a small sitting room, well equipped bathroom and bedroom. It was super clean with a large very comfortable bed, safe, fridge and lovely Rituals toiletries. Hair drier was excellent and room was cleaned every day to a very high standard. We were bed & breakfast, the breakfast was of a good standard, breads, pastries cereals, cold meats, cheese, yoghurts , fruit, fruit juice etc etc . Hot food included, eggs, bacon, beans, sausage and mushroom. Everything you could want, the staff were very helpful and worked really hard clearing tables and restocking the foods. We had some club sandwiches with wine & beers in the hotel for a late lunch ,it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Every member of staff we encountered were extremely pleasant and helpful. I would absolutely recommend staying here when in Madrid.

The hotel is nicely appointed. Friendly, efficient staff, from the front desk to the bar. We booked a patio room which was amazing! We just wish it were a bit warmer so we could have enjoyed the amazing outdoor space. The room itself was nicely appointments and impeccably clean.
