For a cheap hotel this is quite good. The rooms were quite clean, the staff was mostly helpful. They arranged taxis and restaurant bookings for us very efficiently, and theyspoke excellent english. However there is some excentricities with regards to beds. The room had a 225cm wide bed, but only 135cm of it had bed linen. When I asked for...

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend and everything was ok. Rooms (2 triple and 1 double) were clean and available early in the morning. Excellent WiFi, breakfast was ok. A selection of bread, croissant, ham, cheese, yogurt, hot beverages and juices. Enough to start in the morning! Position is ok, only 15 minutes walking from...

When you arrive at the hotel it seems to be a little hotel and you probably expect to get a little room but the room was big, the bathroom well equipped, the heating worked greately (this is a plus considering that we went there on winter). The only con I could find is that the bed is not very comfortable...

We stayed here for 3 nights and everything was very good. The staff was very nice. It's very close to everything and all the main attractions in Madrid. Would love to stay again if I'm ever in Madrid,Spain.

This hotel is in a wonderful location and you can walk everywhere. The rooms are clean and they have good wifi connection. As others have mentioned, the walls are thin and you can hear all the noise from the streets, but it truly was not an issue for us. If you're a light sleeper, this may not work for you....

I stayed here over the New Year period and was very pleased. José Carlos, Oscar and David were very helpful during my stay and nothing was any problem for them. The room was comfortable as is always at HRC and the heating kept it nice and warm even though the temperature was in the negative figures outside. I recommend HRC...

The hotel is centrally located near restaurants, shopping centers and the metro and near cultural shows such as the Corral de la Morería Resturant. The rooms are clean, but the noise from the street can be easily heard at night. the walls are thin, so you can hear the guests in the adjacent room. I recommend this place if only...

A small friendly hotel ideally situated, just off a busy road but not too noisy, a few minutes walk to bars and restaurants. The room was a bit small but had a pleasant view. There was a smell of drains in the bathroom, but was otherwise very clean. The Wi-Fi was good but the television was limited to only Spanish...

Staying in La Latina

Neighborhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighborhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighborhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
