i will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and will definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to Madrid. Very convenient and within route of Hop ON/OFF Madrid Bus Tour. Staff are Prodessional and Friendly, they even assist you in dealing with the taxi driver to the airport, apparently, not all drivers are honest. So they give you... More

Nested in barrio de Salamanca, The Adler is a great choice for a visit to Madrid. The rooms are charming and the staff is helpful. Breakfast was nice too, though you could definitely eat cheaper in Madrid. The hotel's location is great. It is in the heart of the shopping district, with lots of things to do nearby. Most good... It's a nice little boutique hotel, that got its official 5 stars rating I guess because it met the requirements. Is it really a 5 stars hotel? I don't think so. Though all the staff are very professional and helpful. All of them. Pleasant, willing and a most positive attitude. The lobby is pretty small, as well as its bar.... More

This is almost a hidden gem. The hotel is in a traditional building in a prime location in the Salamanca neighbourhood. Very good access by Metro. The hotel is relatively small but provides an excellent service, very good WiFi and a first class breakfast. Service is friendly and efficient.

Very friendly and helpful staff showed us to well appointed, slightly more traditional rooms. Nothing was flashy, but we had everything we needed, and then some. Bathroom was older style with what turned out to be a good pressured shower and nice hand outs of Loewe toiletries. I'd had some misgivings due to harsher earlier reviews but these were not... More

Great hotel with cheerful and helpful staff and service. Perfect upscale location with good mix of locals and visitors. Well appointed room (though no uninterrupted full length mirror). No coffee-making capability in room was a big disappointment. Breakfast (not included) was a bit pricey for the quality. Would stay here again, nevertheless.

Of all the 5 star hotels I've stayed in around the world, this is one of the weakest by far. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Room was small with only a high window. This hotel in my opinion is not good value, our room was expensive and didn't include breakfast, no room service etc. I'm glad I only booked... More

This is a great hotel located perfectly in the "nicer" parts of Madrid. The facilities are in perfect condition and the service is great. They also have a small cozy bar and a great breakfast restaurant.

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
