Hotel is in an excellent location close to the best restaurants and shops in Madrid. A very traditional hotel but throughly modernised. Restaurants first class. Rooms and bathrooms provide plenty of room. Excellent breakfast with full waiter service. Value for money considering quality and location.
Impeccable service, facilities and ambiance in a first class location. The Wellington Hotel is our ‘go to’ hotel in Madrid and never disappoints. From the moment you arrive and are greeted by the doorman you feel the 5 star experience. Thank you ‘The Wellington’ for another fantastic stay at your hotel!
The hotel is beautifully situated in the elegant Salamanca quarter. I had first stayed in this hotel many years ago and it has been completely refurbished in the meantime. The staff is superb and helpful in every way. The breakfast buffet is beautifully presented and the food is delectable. I stayed in an executive room which was disappointing. It was small and uninviting. The room was kept in an impeccable manner. I was suggest staying in an expensive level room
This is not a 5* hotel. It may used to be in a past life but not now. Old furniture, sliding bathroom, noisy cleaning service despite the sign on the door, huge prices for the minibar and the animal fee. Closed pool for 31 degrees outside and extra fee for the spa. Everything turns around extra payment and not around a quality experience. We will definitely not return in this hotel. A very unbalanced quality/price experience.
We just spent six (6) nights at the Wellington Hotel of Madrid (Barrio Salamanca). 1) Location: By Parque El Retiro. It is within walking distance of all major museums, top restaurants, tapas bars, and shops. 2) Infrastructure: Completely updated. Good A/C. The noise level in rooms is very low. Bathrooms are updated and roomy. Clean. 3) Service: Daily cleaning was impeccable. Good room service 4) Amenities: Newly renovated Spa + Water Circuit (indoor pool, hot tub, cold tub, jetstreams) 5) Pool: Unfortunately, the outdoor pool wasn't open yet, but we have used it before, and it is delightful. 6) Check-in/Check-out (Management): Easiest and very fast. 7) COVID: Most of the employees were using face covering (But Not all)
From the door; concierge; breakfast; room service and cleaning staff the service and homely welcome made for a great weekend. Great location with plenty of food and drinks within walking distance. Enjoyed a fantastic wedding coupled with my fiancés birthday this hotel and its staff helped create cherished memories :)
you can not get better from a hotel which has the ideal location close to monuments and the best shopping area , amazing restaurants at walking distance , excellent service and rooms which are traditional however modern at the same time. great breakfast and very good service we have been staying for 10 years there and we see a small improvement to its already excellent standards year after year
I’ve realised that a great hotel makes all the difference in Madrid. My husband stays here all the time, and i finally has the pleasure. Perfect location on Velasquez, 2 brilliant restaurants onsite: Goizeko and Kabuki Japanese. Apart from this some grande bar and reception area, fast elevators and super busy breakfast area. Good staff and ample variety. Great coffee. Lots Of light, not a dark dingy hotel. Decorated superbly for Christmas. The only negative: no bathtub: only showers in our room. Apart from this, a 10
Located in the exclusive and elegant barrio Salamanca, history and luxury mix in a perfect way giving you the feeling of hospitality of the old times and all the comfort of a modern hotel. Unique experience, my favorite place to stay in Madrid
