We stayed at Hotel Atlantico for two nights in late April, a lovely hotel on the very busy Gran Via. Our room was large, quiet, and very comfortable, with a huge modern bathroom. We looked out over a courtyard, so our only view was our friends, whose room was directly across from us, which was kind of fun! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, as our trip was so brief, so I cannot comment on that. Our favorite was the rooftop. We had cocktail hours there, along with beautiful after dinner city views. Wish we could have stayed longer in Madrid! Recommendation: Upon arrival, we asked about a place for tapas, and the front desk staff recommended Circo de las Tapas. We were able to sit at the bar, and really enjoyed the service and the food!…
I hadn't stayed in Madrid for years so finding a central hotel from the huge choice available was something of a hit-or -miss affair. I read reviews and the Atlántico seemed to attract a lot of positive comment. I was not to be disappointed. Its location is perfect, situated on Gran Vía at the Callao end, right where all the main shops are, including lots of clothing shops. It's just a few metres from Callao Metro station and not much further to Gran Vía Metro. I was allocated a room on the 7th floor, looking on to Gran Vía. When I opened the door, I couldn't believe the amount of space compared with so many other city centre hotels elsewhere in the world. The bed was huge, the wardrobe when opened revealed 18 coat hangers (that must be a record!), a big safe to take laptops plus a couple of dressing gowns. The external shutters were electrically operated and all worked smoothly and flawlessly. The bathroom was equally spacious with twin His and Hers hand washbasins plus a bath with shower over. There was copious hot water - and more towels than you know what to do with! I never take breakfast in hotels because I prefer to find local cafes where you can immediately engage in local life. But breakfast is available at a sensible price in the Atlántico. I shall definitely be returning in the near future, this time accompanied by my wife who will love this hotel. Note that I booked direct rather than using hotel booking websites.…
Stayed in the Hotel Atlantico for two days in March on a short stay in Madrid. The room and bathroom were very nice. Wife, who is hard to please, was delighted with them! Balcony on top floor is an excellent feature. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful. I will be staying at this hotel on my next visit!
Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The rooms were beautifully appointed, spotless, comfortable and peaceful! The bathrooms were spacious with many amenities. The rooftop bar was a perfect place both during the day or evening to have a drink and relax. The staff was excellent, always willing to help with any questions or concerns. A special mention to Arturo - he worked the breakfast room. As for the breakfast, it was very good and reasonably priced. The location was perfect, within walking distance to almost all the sites. Truly a perfect stay!
An excellent hotel, with like most buildings in Madrid, architectural exterior, yet internally modernised to a very high standard. The beds were very comfortable, bathroom and toilet recently modernised with a powerful shower and beautiful soft towels. The room was also very spacious with modern balcony doors and electric shutters. Surprisingly when the balcony doors were shut you could not here a sound from the very busy street below. There is also a very nice rooftop terrace complete with bar. The downside is the breakfast. Whilst it may have been adequate, the absence of a restaurant means there are no professional chefs in the kitchen, resulting in the hot meals being cooked by the same person who serves at the rooftop bar. For instance I like my eggs American style ‘over easy’. What you get is an egg well cooked at the base and raw on top, somewhat nervy eating these.…
This was a great location in the city center, walking distance to many sights, loads of restaurants, and two metro stations. The staff was very accomodating. The room was pretty, quiet, and very comfortable. Convenient parking is located a very short walk away, just remember to ask the desk to validate your ticket (we forgot).
We stayed for a week. The room was spacious and sunny. We overlooked the city and it was beautiful. The bed was comfortable and house keeping was perfect. The staff was super helpful. They directed us to restaurants, helped us navigate day trips and made it very stress free to get a COVID test in order to leave the country. The bar upstairs offered a menus of snacks and drinks. Breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again.
Best hotel I would recommend for all who need pampering ! The room is great and best location ,all the branded name is all in that street and if you want to have great dinner,Hotel has a great hospitality and they booked the great dinner place for us and also very helpful for all things we asked Room are big and even the bathroom. Beds is very big for 2 people and comfortable they even give extra more blankets and pillows in the cupboard! We would definitely go back to this hotel !
The hotel is amazing! Clean, in the center and the rooms are amazing. The staff is so kind and helping, they were willing to help any way possible. Javier Planet (part of the reception staff) was amazing! He helped us every day and created the perfect trip for us.
This is a very nice, centrally located hotel in Madrid. It is right on Gran Via. If you are sensitive to noise, be sure to request a room that does not face the street as Gran Via can be quite noisy. Service was very good and friendly. Breakfast buffet is also very good and adequately priced. My room was very clean and in good shape. I love the rooftop terrace bar – great views down Gran Via. All in all a highly recommendable, solid hotel.
