Cosy little hotel right in the heart of Madrid. The rooms are fairly small but surprisingly comfortable. Both the mattress and pillow were superb! Great night´s sleep guaranteed! Staff were very helpful at all times. I would stay again and I would recommend to anyone.

Great location, with walking distance from attractions. The receptionist was very nice and polite to us. She also speaks very good English. Rooms and hostel were always kept tidy. On arrival, we were given a map of the town centre with the tourist attractions highlighted.

The room was quite small but sufficient for our needs (who is hanging out in their hotel in Madrid?). The bathroom was also small but met our needs. The room and bathroom were very clean. The reception workers were helpful. This property is on the 4th floor and the elevator DOES work (despite the fact that we didn't realize that...

I was moved to Madrid Inn when there was a problem with the room I had booked elsewhere. It's just off Gran Via in the centre of Madrid, the rooms are very small, only slightly bigger than the room, and the bathrooms are tiny. Everything inside the hostal is spotlessly clean and the staff try their best, but they don't...

Madrid Inn is a very cute hostal situated in the centre of Madrid, 5 minutes walking form the Gran Vía. It's perfect to go sightseeing and go shopping because you can reach the principals attractions and monuments walking or just taking the underground for 2/3 stops. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, with a big bed and free Wi-fi....

We stayed here in August for a week. The rooms were spotless and had new towels everyday, and new bed linen 3 times during the week. The room we had was small but well appointed. The staff were friendly and seemed to work all hours, despite the desk not being manned 24/7. We picked this because of the location which...

This hotel isn't particularly fancy but is great value, clean and a perfect location in the centre of Madrid. The staff were really friendly and helpful and moved us to a bigger room when they saw that we had a mountain of luggage. Would highly recommend this place for a short stay.

The location can't be beaten, very central location 300m from Puerta del Sol and the corner of Gran Via. Small but comfortable rooms, very clean. Very nice staff. I can only recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation with good value for money.

Had a pleasant stay here over a weekend. Nice clean room with attention to detail and nice touches like a bottle of cava in the room. Was a little noisy in the mornings though with people chatting outside the door. But well priced and great location.

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
